chapter 71

"really ?!" i had just told Aria about the whole me and ashtray kissing thing.

"yeah." i said , laughing at her expression

"explain it again. slower." she said , putting her hands together like this was an exciting movie.

i sighed , "we were outside , and it started raining.
i told him to lay down in the rain with me and he wouldn't , and then he started being like he used to. and asshole. so i was gonna start walking away but he grabbed me and then we kissed." now that i had explained it twice , it sounded fake.

she smiled , "that sounds like it's from a movie"
"oh my god. ashtrays your first kiss."
she said , putting her arms on my shoulders like i didn't already know that.

"have you told anyone else ?" she asked me.

"no." i said , i wasn't planning on it either.

"have you talked to him ?" she said , moving her eyebrows weirdly.

i squinted my eyes , "about the kiss ? no. but i've talked to him."

"you should talk to him about the kiss."
she said , shrugging.

"and say what ?" what was there to talk about ?

"if the kiss meant anything. did it mean something to you ?" she said , turning to me.

did it ? i don't know.
but i didn't even want to think about it actually meaning something. so i answered
"no"

"no ?!" she said , fully turning her body to me.

"what ? it didn't." that was a lie , i just wasn't sure how i would answer that if i was telling the truth.

"what do you mean ? that was your first kiss Vienna. it had to mean something." she said.

"i don't know Aria." i sighed , it was true.
i didn't know what to think.
i didn't want to think about it at all anymore.

"do you like him ?" she asked me

"what ? no." i was sure i didn't like him.
was i ? yeah. i think.

"does he like you ?" how was i supposed to know that ?

"no. it was just a kiss." i said , i don't think it meant anything.

"both of y'all's first kiss though.." she said , pausing before saying "it's definitely more than just a kiss."

i shook my head , what if i actually did mean something more ? god. this was hard to think about.

"have you talked to Alex recently ?" i changed the subject.

"no. have you ?" she asked.

"no. i haven't seen him much either."

"he's been with Gabe and all them."

"i figured."

"what about Celia ?"

"have i talked to her ?"

"yeah."

"no. i've seen her around though , she's with Natalie all the time."

"i haven't talked to her in awhile."

"she's always partying. there's one tonight actually. i'm pretty sure she's going."

"there's a party tonight ?"

"yeah. you didn't know ?"

"no. are you going ?"

"no. probably not. the last 2 party's haven't turned out good."
