Theo, Avery and Malia sat on seats in beacon hills hospital while Stiles and Kira were stood up but they were all waiting on the same news, if Lydia was going to be okay
"Stiles" Avery lifted up her head once she heard Melissa's voice
"How bad is it?" Stiles asked turning to the McCall while Avery lifted herself up from the chair ignoring the pain she felt from her bruises
"Could've been worse, Theo good going on that tourniquet, you probably saved her life" Melissa answered which made Avery glance towards Theo who was already looking at her so she sent him a small smile before turning back towards the conversation
"Alright she's about to go into surgery so it's gonna be a while, any other supernatural details that I need to know about or do we just stitch her up and hope for the best?" Melissa asked glancing around at everyone
"It was the tail" Avery whispered staring off into space which earned everyone's eyes on her but she didn't even take a short glance at anyone since she was trying to get her mind to stop worrying about her best friend but was failing since her mind would go straight back to it and come up with a lot of what ifs
"Yeah, Tracy cut her with the tail, if that makes a difference" Scott agreed
"okay" Melissa nodded before walking towards Lydia's room to start the surgery
"But it wasn't just Tracy, there were the others, the guys in the masks" Malia said but the pack just shared confused looks not really believing her so Malia turned to Avery "A you were there, you saw them right?"
Avery nodded motioning towards her face that had several small cuts along her cheeks and a split lip with dried blood smeared onto her skin from Avery wiping her mouth That was filled with blood "how could I forget? They did this to me, oh and they also did this" Avery muttered before lifting up her shirt to reveal all the bruises scattered across her stomach
Theo's eyes fell down to her stomach and felt anger rise in him but felt his eyes linger on her bare skin longer than the others until she let her shirt fall back down covering it
"They were really strong" Avery added before turning around and sitting back down on the seat she was sitting on before

Everyone had left the hospital except for Avery she was curled up in a ball in the same chair half asleep but trying to stay awake
Melissa had noticed the girl while walking past so she walked up to the girl and patted her shoulder "Avery?"
Avery lifted her head up and that was when Melissa understood why she was still here "It's okay to go home Avery, You don't need to stay here"
