It was an established fact that you loved Marc, Steven, and Khonshu. And that they loved you too. Essentially, all of you were bound to each other one way or another. With you, Marc, and Steven serving Khonshu.
It was- it was a certain devotion to each other. It was understanding, and it was acceptance. A silent exchange of thoughts- of agreements.
Your acceptance of Marc and his duties as the deity's fist. Your acceptance of Steven and his worries- his ramblings. And your acceptance of Khonshu's morals and actions. You may not fully understand how the god and his avatar worked, but you were always accepting of them all.
But that acceptance went the other way. Khonshu's slow acceptance of human customs- customs which he had observed from afar, but never participated in. Steven's acceptance of your soft reassurances- of your genuine interest in his words. And Marc's gradual acceptance of your affection. They accepted your entire being, even the parts you had wanted to keep away from them.
