After their volleyball game, Remmi distinctively grabbed Kasey by the hand and smirked nodding her head over to the direction toward the rock pools.

Remmi also retrieved her hoodie from the shelter and caught up with her best friend as she put it over her head and revealing swimsuit. Not that Kasey was complaining.

"What so special about a rockpool?" Kasey asked, leaning over to glance down at the water-logged cavity, known as a tide-pool.

Remmi's mind was overflowed with emotions as she reunited herself with the area.

"You remember that I mentioned how the last time I came here I was three? My eldest brother, Mikai, Nana and I's favourite of our six brothers, he took me here. Right here. We walked down each every afternoon for half past four. You know I called Petal or Chibi by Mikai, all my other sisters had nicknames with their names, or Saki, shortened for Sakura. Funnily enough, none of us were actually called Sakura. I was Petal. Then he'd call me chisana tanken-ka which meant 'little explorer'. We'd explore the pools here together and find all sorts of things. Hair clips, money, starfish, fossils, all drawn in by the waves," She explained, a smile gleaming over her face.

"Then why'd you bring me here?" Kasey asked, standing about a metre away from the girl and kicked a rock by his feet and a shell between his fingers.

"Because I wanted you to accompany me here in the rock pools like I'd done with my brother," she answered, placing her hand on his wrist gently pulling him over to a pool and crouching over.

Inside was a multi-coloured scaled fish, every colour of the spectrum, it was accompanied by a purple starfish and an ivory coiled shell. Kasey broke contact with the water as he placed inside his hand, brushing past the rainbow fish and gently pulled out the shell.

He handed it over to Remmi who hesitantly held it in her palms.

"Kase? This is yours, you found it," She said, bringing her hands closer to him without saying she felt like she didn't want it, it was his

"Rem, think of it as an, I don't know, holiday souvenir. Then you'll have at least one thing to remember the entire experience by," Kasey managed to blurt out before running a hand through his blue hair. A loose curl, immediately fell right back as Remmi giggled.

The meif~wa held the shell back to her chest, despite the fact that the shell was still damp. "Okay then," She replied, "Now I have to find you a souvenir in return."

"Remmi, that's a gift, not an 'I owe you'!" Kasey complained, standing back up chasing after Remmi who'd found herself overlooking another pond.

The pair spent the rest of the afternoon observing past the pools, finding various more shells before being called back by the rest of the group for their bonfire, Laurance and Dante had collaborated on.

By the fire, Remmi absentmindedly had fallen asleep by Kasey's side and fallen on his shoulder. Kasey smiled and pulled her fallen hair out of her face and lifted her hoodie towel over her collarbone.

It was moments like that he wished would never end.
