The girls returned from the beach to the wafting aroma of blissful, awakening coffee. Nana and Melissa immediately traced down the scent to the kitchen where the guys had an entire commercial barista waiting for them.

The brand-new coffee machine was abnormally huge, with two spouts to disperse the coffee and another two taps to foam the milk.

Aphmau gasped and wagged her tail at the sight.

"Coffee!" Katelyn screeched.

"Ladies, welcome to our barista," Aaron said as he draped a tea towel over his forearm and winked at his wife.

"And we just made your preferred orders, just now," Dante intervened.

"Let's see how we did, shall we?" Laurance asked. Lucinda caught his gaze as she slid onto a barstool and blew him a kiss.

"Yeah, let's see how well you paid attention," Nicole challenged.

"You May be surprised," Vylad said with a smirk.

"Get on with it!" Garroth protested heightening his British accent, waving his hands in the air. One of which hit Zane in the head and Zane slapped him in the arm. "Ow."

"Okay, vanilla latte with a dash of milk for Melissa," Aaron began, passing his older sister the steaming drink in her hands inside a reusable glass coffee cup with yellow accents.

Melissa smiled and breathed in the scent. "Thank you."

"Peppermint mocha with skim milk and a packet of, uh-" Travis began then turned to Kasey as he had a mind-blank.

"Sugar," Kasey answered with his arms crossed over his chest.

"Right. And a packet of sugar for Katelyn," he finished passing her an almost identical cup to Melissa's instead with a light blue rim.

"Tablespoon of Nesquik?"

"Yeah."

"Decaf coffee?"

"Yeah."

"What kind of sugar did you put in it?"

"Just take it, Kate! You're right Kasey, she is impossible. How could you grow up with her?" Travis exclaimed.

"They're delusional," Kasey mumbled monotonously turning to make his coffee and taking a Panadol pill.

"But to answer your question, Katelyn. Powdered sugar," Travis finished.

"Thank you, fiancé, I'm glad you remembered," Katelyn said with a wink. Like she was a heartthrob, Travis blushed and turned away with a grin.

"Yeah, yeah, we get it," Laurance complained, shooing them off. "Lucinda, I don't know why you have such a complicated order. A pumpkin caramel spice decaf latte."

"Thanks, Bub," Lucinda sassed flouncing as she took the coffee out of his grasp.

"Nana, your vanilla latte-" Zane began.

"And the same for Aphmau with a teaspoon of sugar," Aaron conceded. In return, the girls kissed their partners' cheeks.

"I don't get Tatiana's usual, but a normal chamomile tea," Vylad said rubbing his temples.

"Thanks, Vylad."

"Remmi's must be harsher than any of yours. Rem, your mocha with caramel, peppermint, a pump of vanilla, full cream milk, decaf and specifically Nesquik... iced," Kasey said with his head held high which degraded to a look of sheer terror.

Remmi grinned and cupped Kasey's cheek as she picked up the drink in the Starbucks cup that she always reused between washes. "You know I love you, right?"

"Yeah, I know."

"Kim, your espresso with... nothing else," Garroth said and passed it to her.

"Cadenza, your regular cappuccino," Laurance said giving it to his sister.

"Thank you."

"And Nicole, your Americano with honey," Dante said.

"You know me so well," Nicole said with a grin.

"So, would you like to assess ours?" Dante asked leaning against the counter directed to all the girls.

The ladies made eye contact with each other, then with Dante, then with their partners and back to each other and widened their eyes.

"Uh..."

"Yeah, no thanks."
