The next person to fall pregnant was Becca who was due in November, followed by Aphmau and Aaron, as well as Garroth and Kim who weren't too far behind. To Becca and Zenix's surprise, they were expecting twins even though Xander wasn't even one year old.

After lunchtime on April 26th, Nana was watching TV as Zane was working on his patient reports in the dining room.

Although Nana was now thirty-seven weeks pregnant, because of how small she was and the size of Zane, she was carrying a big baby against he small figure. It looked as if she were two 'em weeks ahead. She even waddled like a penguin to get from point A to B. On top of that, she was always moody and didn't want people doing things for her when she told herself she could manage on her own.

While watching the latest episodes of The Crown, Nana felt an abnormal pain down her leg, she flinched, shifted and ignored it, presuming it was the usual Braxton Hicks from the last few days.

She proceeded to pop an apple slice in her mouth when it happened again and the baby hit hard. She put her hand on the bump that enveloped her stomach and uncomfortably stood up and walked to the kitchen to grab a glass of water.

She filled it up from the tap, and took a sip, when it happened again, much much, more painful than the last. She slammed down the glass, gripped onto the counter and hunched over to catch her breath as the pain continued, it kept going and wouldn't stop.

Her heart raced and she let out several shaky breaths. Nana instantly knew what this was, only bracing for the impact of the next contraction. And they were coming fast.

"Zane..." she whispered.

Zane, almost oblivious to the entire thing, looked up from his laptop, and then scrambled to his feet. Just as he reached her, Nana felt a pop from her uterus and something trickle down her legs. Her light blue shorts were damp now.

Zane panicked. He'd delivered a handful of babies in the delivery room before, but this was different, so, he panicked. "Zane! Do something!" Nana yelled, hissing to subdue the pain.

Zane grabbed his phone and punched in the emergency number, which was answered immediately.

"Yeah, hi, my fiancé's in labour and she's in a lot of pain. Her water broke, just now-"

"Zane!"

"She's thirty-seven weeks through, uh-huh, okay, I guess the contractions are fast, maybe two minutes apart? Yes, thank you." Zane kept them in the line as they sent an ambulance down. Thus, began one of the longest fifteen minutes of their lives.

Zane ran up and down the stairs to grab the prepared hospital bag and sat her down carefully on the couch. He instructed her to take slow, deep breaths and told her to keep her legs together, even though it wouldn't do anything.

Nana was on the verge of tears and couldn't help but occasionally yelp in pain. Finally, the ambulance came with a stretcher and one of their people strapping Nana in instantly recognised them.

But by now, Nana was almost fully dilated and newly had the baby in the van. No time for a chat now.

Nana felt terrified. She didn't know why but she felt utterly scared. Maybe it was the pain, the rush, but she didn't feel good.

Zane held onto her hand and she gripped it tightly as another contraction hit. Zane whispered comforting words to her, but Nana barely comprehended bits and pieces of it.

She couldn't stop thinking about her daughter that was on her way and how she get through it. The baby was early, but she knew it was coming.

As soon as they arrived, she was hurried through on the stretcher, silently crying out in pain. The doctors available prepared for both natural birth as well as a c-section because of how small Nana was.
