NOTE FROM THE AUTHOR: For the plot purposes, this story happens somewhere at the beginning of S4 of Legacies, when Hope turns into a non-humanity tribrid :)

First, the silence came, overcoming every other sound, that was hearable before. Then, the darkness, which overtook Caroline's entire vision of the world in front of her.. Maybe there was nothing to panic about, but when after you blackout, you wake up, without anyone around you, barely remembering what has happened to you, there are few things you should consider. And, one of them should be: "where am I", or "why am I here in the first place".. Because, in the very same moment, as Caroline opened her eyes, with blinding moon greeting her from the dark sky, she quickly turned her head around, in order to adjust to the new surroundings, and only few seconds later, she finally got up, and stood on her feet, checking for any injuries on her body. Because, though she remembered her whole life, and the fact, that she was a vampire, she had a tough time remembering what happened to her, before she opened her eyes.. It was like having something on the tip of your tongue, but being unable to really tell what it was. And, each time, when Caroline tried to chronologically arrange the events, she was always missing something, causing her head to hurt.. So, for the time, when she didn't really know, where she was, she decided to not think about that, and worry about her memories later. But, in the moment, as she told herself that, she noticed she was actually in a familiar place, similar to the Mystic Falls Town Square, that she, and her friends, Elena, and Bonnie, used to spent time at.. The only thing separating this place, from the Town Square she remembered, was the lack of people, even though it was a night. Because, if it was really Mystic Falls, then someone would be here, for example going for a walk, or taking their dog out.. But, as it seemed for now, Caroline was on her own, without any living soul around her, which did quite shock her. But, she wasn't going to panic.. She wasn't that person anymore, since she has already experienced a lot of things in her life, and this was probably some another supernatural creation of some kind, and soon enough, she'd be back home. Or, so she hoped.. But, in the moment, when she decided to walk around the Town Square a bit, to maybe find someone, and figure out what she was doing there in the first place, she suddenly noticed something moving in the distance, but she couldn't really see what it was, since the figure was standing in the fog, in addition, away from the night lanterns for Caroline to identify it as a human, or something else:

- Hello.. ? Is anybody there ?! – Caroline shouted, but as soon as she did, the mysterious shadow suddenly disappeared, and because there was nothing better to do, Caroline decided to follow her instincts.

It wasn't really a decision, because due to Caroline having no idea what was going on, following a stranger was the best shot she had at finding someone, anyone, who could tell her what happened, and where she truly was. So, using her vampire speed, she went straightly into the direction of the shadow, she previously saw, following a long, and dark alley, hoping to find the mysterious person.. But, when managed to reach the end of the alley, she met with a great disappointment, because it was straightly a dead end, that didn't seem to follow anywhere. What's more, the stranger seemed to just magically evaporate, and that just made Caroline question her common sense, and if what she thought she saw, was real in the first place.. But, even that couldn't extinguish her motivations to find answers, and so she decided to use her vampire hearing, in order to hear someone, or anything, which would suggest other people were here, with her, and she wasn't the only one. And, in the moment as she did do so, a sound of music, somewhere in the distance, managed to reach her ear, and so not thinking much about it, Caroline decided to follow it, soon enough finding herself in front of a bar, that looked exactly as the one in Mystic Falls, where Caroline's made so many great, and bad memories.. But, not wanting to waste more time, by remembering all those times she was in here, Caroline just took a big breath, and walked through the front door, and in the same moment, as she opened them, she was straight up shocked. And why is that.. ? Because, surprisingly there were a lot of people here, in the bar, and they were just drinking, talking, singing karaoke, and just generally having fun, and that did quite confuse Caroline on how she could think, that something bad has happened. After all, it must've been Mystic Falls then, and there was nothing to worry about.. So, having enough of all the secrets, and adventures, Caroline just sat on the bar stool, waiting for someone to serve her, wanting to drink something, and then return back to the Salvatore Boarding House, to her daughters, telling them this crazy story of hers. But, unfortunately, that wasn't the end of the surprises, because in the moment, when the bartender returned to the bar, she noticed he had a blue skin, and that just didn't match Caroline's image of this bar for, well..
