"See you, princess.", dad greeted me gently.

"See you soon, dad. Take care.", I greeted back with a small smile.

He nodded and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him.

Sigh.

That was an intense conversation.

It left me with more questions than answers.

I wonder if my brothers know the complete truth about mom and dad's past.

Either way, I am really disappointed and a little frustrated about the way dad spoke about Angel.

I was on the verge of snapping at him at the way he went on calling her a stranger but again I couldn't disrespect him so I just kept quiet.

But one thing didn't make any sense at all.

Dad said he never thought, in fact he knew mom never cheated on him. But again he knew that Angel could be someone else's child when she was born.

How is that possible?

The two statements he made are so contradicting that it makes me all the more curious about what happened in the past.

While I was dwelling in my thoughts, the door of my room opened, bringing me out of my thoughts.

I looked at the person and offered a small smile.

"How did your conversation with Easton go?", I asked.

"It went good. We are friends now, I guess.", she said, walking towards me.

Angel came and plopped beside me on the bed.

I am really amazed at how comfortable and luxurious even the hospital wards of the rich are.

The bed was big enough to fit another person and it was way too soft to be considered a hospital bed.

I shook my head at the thoughts.

I felt a tug at my sleeves and looked down.

I was sitting on the bed and Angel was lying beside me on her back.

"You look a little upset.", she stated, looking at me.

"I'm no-", I was saying but she cut me off in the middle.

"Don't bother denying it. It's quite evident on your face.", she said, calmly.

I bit my lip and looked away.

"Did you fight with dad?", she asked, softly.

I still didn't look at her.

How can I?

How can I answer her question?

How can I tell her what all dad spoke about her?

There was silence in the room for a few minutes.

I didn't reply to Angel and neither did she ask further.

"The silence is making me drowsy.", Angel said, breaking the silence.

I chuckled slightly at that and looked at her with a small smile.

"What shall we do now?", I asked.

"Now that's what I was waiting for you to ask!", she exclaimed, sitting up straight in front of me.

I raised a brow at her.

"What's there to get so excited about?", I asked.

She gave me a sly smile and I narrowed my eyes at her.
