Blood Maid || taekook

"This is it." Isaac said, wiping his face of sweat. He looked over at his new companion and saw he was barely affected by the long trip. How?

The pair had barely taken a break getting to the cave where the humans resided.

Taehyung had to admit, this was definitely a safe haven, very smart in how they've hidden themselves. Even now, he could only sense Isaac as the only nearby human, his senses clouded by the sound and smell of a nearby waterfall. He was impressed and wished he knew of the place earlier.

"It doesn't seem like anyone is here." Taehyung muttered, wanting to seem clueless and confused.

Isaac chuckled "there's a hidden entrance just there." He replied before whistling out to alert the lookouts that they weren't enemies. Taehyung watched as a few humans stepped out from behind some thick vines, crosses adorning their necks and hands resting on their swords.

"Who is this Isaac?" A deep male voice spoke, laced with authority.

"A friend, he helped me and wanted to be safe and free, so brought him here. It was the least I could do." Isaac replied quickly while Taehyung kept quiet.

The guard eyed up Taehyung, he was sure he was human just by his appearance.

He responded "thanks for helping the foolish boy, we were all worried." while ruffling his hair. Isaac pushed his hand away "hey!" He whined while fixing his hair. Taehyung smiled slightly, seeing the bond between the humans.

"I suggest you go see your sister, she was worried sick." The man added, nudging the young male forward.

"Oh yeah!" Isaac said before running off inside the cave, leaving Taehyung behind. The guard looked at him again "show him around." He ordered one of the other guards.

"Yes sir." They responded, leading Taehyung through the thick vines and into the cooler cave. Inside is a relaxing atmosphere and the further he walked, the more people he would see.

They were simply going about their business and doing their bit for the community, each one having their own skills and creativity. It was nice to see such peace.

Nobody walked with their head low to avoid any lurking vampires, it all reminded him of Jimin. He ignored the pain in his heart and continued onwards, following the guard closely.

"This is the living quarters, we are blessed with the formations of this cave, allowing privacy for a lot of us." The guard explained while Taehyung nodded, his eyes picking up on a few stares his way.

It was expected, he is a stranger.

"Not far away is where you can freshen up." He pointed towards a small entrance which seemed to have running water inside.

He was then led further in where there was less lighting and what smelled like burning was coming from further down. "Try to stay away from down there, that is where they harvest and it isn't a pretty sight." The guard explained.

"Harvest?" Taehyung immediately asked before he was led elsewhere.

The guard seemed taken aback, Taehyung's voice being deeper than he expected. "Ah yes, we are the only ones educated on this." He said.

"They extract the key ingredient to make our cross work efficiently." He explained while showing Taehyung the cross around his neck.

"And what is the key ingredient?" He asked, eyes gazing at the creepy pathway.

"Vampire blood." He revealed, making Taehyung's eyes widen. The guard chuckled "and not just any vampire blood, it works best with royal blood." They added as if proud of whatever they had been doing down there.

Taehyung's blood ran cold.

"R-Royal..." he muttered, feeling his eyes darken.

He was losing control, Jungkook's face flashing through his mind.

"Woah, you okay buddy?" The guard questioned, seeing Taehyung's look of horror. The half vampire looked around, seeing no one, he whispered "you're tired, go to sleep."

In an instant, the guard fell to the floor, in a deep sleep.

Taehyung walked into the darkness, his eyes still being able to see fairly clear as he was met by dampness and metal bars on each side of him. Crosses were hung on them, meant to keep whatever they trap inside forever.

A few scrawny vampires noticed Taehyung's presence but didn't have the energy to acknowledge him so they stayed still where they could decay in peace. He didn't know these vampires but as he got further in, a feeling of longing came making his heart beat faster.

He's here.

"Jungkook!" Taehyung shouted, not caring if he was heard.

It certainly awoke some of the vampires, taking interest in the human that spoke their kings name. There was no response though, just the sound of a constant drip, adding to the dampness of the cellar.

Taehyung eyed the end cage, the one that seemed to have no one in it at first glance. Except when he looked closer, he saw the shrivelled up body that looked decomposed and unidentifiable.

He gasped as he realised he felt content when he laid eyes upon the dead looking vampire. He needed to feed him quickly and get him out of here, he ignored the anger he felt for now.

He teleported inside the cell, biting into his own wrist so he could draw blood and feed it to him.  He placed it over his mouth, letting the fresh blood drip quickly down his throat.

"Come on Jungkook." Taehyung whispered as tears began to form in his eyes.

Slowly the skin of the vampire began paling and returning to it's normal colour, the body repairing itself. Jungkook's lifeless eyes appearing to glow their powerful colour as the blood of his loved on graced his tongue once again.

Taehyung was suddenly pulled in and teeth sank into his throat violently and gulping was heard. The half vampire closed his eyes and hugged his lover, enjoying his touch "yes take as much as you want." He muttered weakly.

"Drain me."

Lil bonus scene :)

"Isaac has returned safely." George informed Jimin, the news had spread quickly.

Jimin smiled brightly "i'm glad, has he said anything about what happened?" He asked, interested if the boy had any intel.

"Not yet, he's with his sister at the moment, we should let him rest." George answered. Jimin agreed "yes, he should rest, he's probably been through a lot out there on his own."

"He returned with someone else." George added, seeing as they had a new member in the community. "Someone else?" Jimin questioned, the only other humans were in Moon Hollow.

"Yes, Isaac said this human helped him but wanted freedom too." George explained while Jimin nodded. "Fair enough." Jimin said.

"We should welcome them properly, i'll speak with them." Jimin replied, feeling happy that they have even more help now. They need it in this war, there is still more vampires than humans but that will soon change.

Especially with the weapons they have.

Humans will win.
