Today is December 24th so you guys know what that means right? Yep, it's Kanzaburou's birthday. He's damn chaotic but sure lovable and loyal to dear (Y/N) as it is. And to anyone else who shares a birthday with him or has a birthday in December, happy birthday to you guys as well! This will also be the first chapter that will be narrated by (Y/N) so just a heads up also I wanna add that special chapter are cannon to the story so yea just letting you all know. Ever since those tragic days I could remember, I've always been alone.

All the blood spilt, everyone you care leaving your, feeling like a failure. That's what I've felt for the last 17 years of my life.

"Alright Tomioka sama I guess I'll head out now. Are you sure don't need anything before I leave?" Kanzaburou said as he gave (Y/N) his usually friendly smile.

"I'll be ok, thank you. And if anything I have Grim." (Y/N) said as Grim nodded in agreement. "Just enjoy yourself with da- er I mean Crewel sensei, we'll see you in a bit."

"Try not to kill anyone you hear!" Grim called out as the two watched as the raven haired male soon left the Ramshackle Dorm, not before waving goodbye to them.

My youth seemed peaceful enough, but then it all shattered after the death of my parents. All I had now was Tsutako nii, but then she was kill by the hands of a blood thirsty demon. She died protecting me, that's something I'll never forget.

"Ok, he's long gone now." Grim said now smiling at the female.

"Good, now let's go." (Y/N) said as she opened the door to the Ramshackle now letting Grim out, herself soon following after.

"So what's the plan?" Grim eagerly said as he awaited the female's answer.

"We'll meet the ghost at the Cafeteria." (Y/N) hummed as she continued her way to the school with Grim by her side. "I got permission from mo-...Crowley so the cafeteria should be empty and free for us to use."

That was heartbreaking, my world slowly crumbled before my very eyes. I thought I was on my own forever. A lone 8 year old little girl living on her own possibly meeting the same fate? But no, that wasn't my fate.

Later on I was taken in by a man who goes by Urokodaki Sakonji. He's a former Water Hashira and my teacher. He took me in as his own and trained, teaching me his ways and helping me whenever I needed it. Everything I know about being a slayer and breathing techniques is because of him. He taught me everything.

But I wasn't alone.

"I can't believe you managed to get the ghosts in on this." Grim said as he stared at the female in disbelief.

"All I did was ask them nicely and they agreed to help." (Y/N) said as she smiled a bit, feeling glad the ghosts were also helping her. "Now let's hurry, we don't wanna keep them waiting." She said before soon heading off to the school's cafeteria.

"Alright I'm coming." Grim said as he quickly followed after her. "I've never seen you so right before. Let's try to keep that up."

"Slowly but surely Grim." The raven haired female said. "Slowly but surely..."

There was also a boy who trained with me, Urokodaki sensei taught us both actually and his name was Sabito. Sabito was around my age as well, he was my first friend growing up. We did everything together, but then Final Selection came by and I found my heart break once again. At that time I remember I was only 13 years old.
