"That was rude of us," Roop murmured, sitting inside the car.

"You prefer a lecture?" Amrit turned to her, "They were going to lecture you about your carelessness after you finished your breakfast." He informed her.

"But.."

"Shh, don't worry. It's your day, no worries." He shushed her, leaning forward to pull the seatbelt, a smile stretching his lips as he saw her eyes getting closed on instinct.

To not make her feel disappointed, he kissed her cheek softly, clicking the seatbelt in.

He watched her turn the radio on as he drove out of the driveway, "Is it too late to tell you we're going to a temple?" He asked.

Her head turned towards him with the speed of light, "Are you kidding me?" She asked, an incredulous expression covering her face.

"I'm afraid to say no?" He replied, biting back a smile.

"Turn around, I want to change, people will look at me weirdly." She cried.

"I was kidding, don't worry." He assured her, earning a smack on his bicep for making her feel worried.

"You're mean." She mumbled under her breath, increasing the volume of the radio.

She didn't talk to him for the next five minutes, just looking out of the window as everything passed by, her eyes went to her stomach after she got bored.

"Look at my cheeseball." She looked at him excitedly, holding her stomach as if she was expecting.

"Cheeseball?"

"My food baby!" She replied, taking his hand and keeping it over her now bloated stomach.

"He kicked." He played along.

"Are you making fun of me?" She narrowed her eyes.

"I wouldn't dare to." He shook his head, his eyes focused on the road but didn't move his hand away from her stomach.

"Hatein ab." She removed his hand, drinking her lemonade.
(leave me now)

A low groan left his lips as he heard an incoming call, Roop focused outside while he conversed with the person on the other side.

Parking the car after a while, he got out, opening the door for her, "Where are we?" She asked, taking his hand.

"You'll see." He replied, locking the car and walking out of the parking.

She could see alot of places they could visit but she couldn't decide where Amrit would be taking her so she kept silent, just walking along with him. A frown appeared on her face as he entered a cafe.

"A cafe?"

"A cafe with a library." He replied, walking further inside till they were surrounded by books and the sweet yet strong aroma of the coffee, away from disturbance. Just books and them.

"This is...nice." She smiled, looking around in awe, she always wanted to visit a place like that but she wasn't allowed to go out that much.

"I heard that my wife was stressed so yeah." He shrugged, ordering the coffee and some muffins for them.

"Stress ka reason to aap hi the." She mumbled under her breath but he still heard it.
(But the reason for my stress was you only)

"Go, pick out a book." He replied, deciding to pretend as if he didn't hear what she said.

Time passed like a river, while Roop was busy reading the book she left a while ago, Amrit was busy admiring his wife.

Her whole focus was on the book for hours but he was wondering what if he lost her? What if everything ended before he came? Fear of losing her because of someone's trick was eating him from the inside.
