Chapter 13

"Did you calm down now?" I asked Jisuk, Jiwoo, and Wooin who sat at the other couch, their heads hanging low. I sighed. After Kemono had attacked Jisuk, well more like played tug-a-war with his leg, he finally stopped being so angry at me. He said sorry multiple times while glancing at Kemono who now laid at my side as well as Casein Nitrate, who for some reason, sat at my other side. "Now tell me, why did you come to my home?" I leaned back into the couch, crossing my arms as I watched Jisuk click his tongue, looking away. Refusing to answer any questions I had.

Such a child I tell ya. "Then, Jiwoo?" I went on to the next person, who flinched hearing his name. He looked up into Kains red eyes, gulping as my stoic expression seemed to intimidate him, unlike my kind smile I usually showed him. Mostly it was subconscious because of how lovely Jiwoo is in person.

"I only came to stop Jisuk from doing anything and..." he stopped speaking for a moment, righting his hands into fists. "I wanted to ask why you refused Jiyoung's offer. '' I blinked. So Jisuk blabbed to Wooin and Jiwoo about my conversation with Jiyoung, who probably told Inhyuk and Inhyuk told Jisuk. Of course. They're going to be close knit friends in the future, in fact, they're at the point where Wooin and Jisuk sleep over and Jiwoos house quite often.

I could tell that much by how Jisuk seems to be comfortable with Jiwoo calling Jiyoung by name. "That's none of your business" was all I could say as I stood up. "Kain wait-!" Jiwoo activated his power, quickly grabbing me by the arm. I turned to him, shocked he'd even go so far just to grab my attention until Kemono growled, forcing Jiwoo to let go immediately after. "Sorry, I just...I just want to be of help to you" now I'm confused. Help me? Has he not heard of how cruel Kain is?

"Jiwoo, stop joking around. Take Jisuk back to Shinwha and the next time you come here" my eyes glared at Jisuk, dead serious. "I'll report you for trespassing" I stepped forward, entering the kitchen as Jiwoo followed close behind, still speaking. "I heard!" He yelled a bit, chasing me. "I heard you're not awakened!" I paused. Turning to look at Jiwoo. Somehow becoming a little agitated by his words. "Jisuk told me your father is the 2nd most powerful awakened one in South Korea but...you're not awakened" I scoffed. "Yeah? What else did he say?" I stepped towards him.

Closing the distance and him stepping backwards. "Did he tell you how much of an asshole I am?" Jiwoos eyes widened. "How about how fucking annoying I can be to even pester Shinwha chairwoman to be mine?" He gulped, seeing my hand run through my hair, pushing Kains bangs back as his hair tie fell off, causing his beautiful red hair to freely sway upon every movement I made. "Did he tell you the physical trauma I caused for my employees? Or the obsession I have for awakened ones? What'll you do if my obsession with Jiyoung suddenly becomes yours? Since you want to be so "helpful" to me" I quoted the word, helpful, seeing Jiwoos' back bump into the kitchen counter. Then my arms trapping him on either side of him

"Does that mean you're willing to become my obsession...?" I whispered, closing in our distance to the point my lips brushed his nose, feeling his stalling breath. "Are you?" I tilted my head to the side, closing our lips together as I watched Jiwoo hold his breath, closing his own eyes while stiffening up. I smirked.

"Don't say words you can't fulfill. We're not friends and we never will be. Now get out of my house" I pushed myself away, walking to the fridge and opening the door while Jiwoo gasped for air and covered his face. Opening a bottle of water, I glanced over at him seeing his really red ears. Funny. I only wanted to intimidate him but instead I...
