A/n: I realized I never really wrote about how the main characters felt about Kain. Since the story is told from Kains POV we have no idea how the characters feel abt him- SO I decided :) to make a chap abt how Jiwoo and Kayden felt abt Kain n everything. I'll write Wooins perspective as well! Jisuk is different tho- hes special 💃💃 ENJOY!!!

Third Person Point Of View (3rd POV)

Kain stood out on the deck, staring out at the calm ocean as they moved so quickly above the surface. His thoughts raced in his head of the many things that could happen on the Island containing the Awakened Academy. So many important events that help Jiwoos character development as well as his growing bond with not just his three friends, but practically everyone attending the academy. "Why does he always try to...be my friend when he has so many great ones already?" Kain questioned, sighing internally. He shut his eyes, trying to think and the only outcome he can come to is, it's just his character. But even as his character settings, he's understanding enough to stop bothering him if Kain continued to reject every single persistent welcoming from him. So, Kain couldn't help but wonder why? Why is Jiwoo constantly trying to break down his barrier?

The day Jiwoo and Kayden came back from the meeting Inhyuk hosted.

Jiwoo laid on the wooden floors of the basement, panting and sweating after having run at full speed for as long as he could under Kaydens orders. He stared up at his plain looking ceilings, eyes darting from one corner to another. After he and Kayden just arrived back from meeting other awakened teens going to the Awakened Academy as students, he couldn't help but think of Kain the entire time. Even while training.

'When I said I wanted to cut all ties with Shinhwa, I meant it. Why do you think I adamantly rejected the chair woman's proposal? Why I transferred to a different school? Why I'm moving out of my apartment that belongs to my fathers organization? I've come to terms with being a normal human and I...don't want to be a part of the awakened world anymore' he replayed the very words uttered at Jisuk, trying to persuade the boy of his decision and how seriously he took it. When Jiwoo had watched the scene play before his very eyes, he couldn't help but feel for Kain. The pain and sadness yet stern and confident tone he had, continued to ring in his ears.

He knew the two had very different lives but, to Jiwoo, Kain was sorta like him. Jiwoo once felt out of place within his world. He was scared. Constantly. Kain was also scared for a different reason. Because he was forced into a world he could never be accepted in, just like him. Thinking of it in this way, Jiwoo sat up, his lips pursed in a straight line while his hazel brown eyes swirled in confusion. Kain always drew a line with him. He knew it wasn't JUST him though but everyone else. It's like he's purposely trying to isolate himself from everyone.

"If you have time to think, start training" but Jiwoo jumped after hearing his mentor's voice. Glancing at the meditating chubby orange striped cat, he silently scurried to the couch, his round doe eyes sparkling as Kayden sighed, knowing exactly what that look was. "What's your question?" He opened his eyes, revealing his slit green orbs as he dispersed his force control, no longer focused. "Mr.Kayden" Jiwoo started. The cat lifted his hind leg, scratching at the back of his ear when he hummed for Jiwoo to continue. "What do you think of Kain?" Then the cat paused, his leg lowering slowly as he seriously contemplated what to say. Kain. Kain Hua. A boy all but new to the great Kayden who's become one of Jiwoos fixations.

"Well...I'd have to say he's a very strange kid" Kayden spoke truthfully, standing up as he stretched out his back, thinking the conversation was over when Jiwoo tilted his head. "Strange how?" He had to ask. Kaydens perspective of 'strange' was wide to him. He always called Jiwoo strange as well as his recent friends he made. So was Kain also the kind of strange he and his friend were or was it different? Kayden couldn't help but sigh at the continuous sparkle in Jiwoos eyes as he leaned back into the couch, relaxing with a yawn. A few seconds ticked by when he finally spoke, answering Jiwoos question again.
