When Cayetana re-entered her house, lights were still burning in the hallway and kitchen. Which confused her, because she had actually made sure to turn off all the lights before she left.

In the last half hour, she had also finally found out where Pablo lived. Not as expected with his parents, but in La Masia, the academy of FC Barcelona and this already almost half his life.

She had also learned that he liked living there and enjoyed keeping in touch with his former teammates from the B team. Nevertheless, he was thinking about moving out and finding his own apartment or a house to stand on his own two feet.

A daring decision. This could not even imagine himself and she was older than him, although not much.

Cayetana slipped off her shoes before going to check on Pedri, whom they left sleeping on the couch earlier. But the couch was empty.

Had he already retreated back to his room?

Just as she was about to claim the stairs herself, she heard a noise. It was coming from the bathroom. Instantly, the unpleasant feeling spread through her that she already knew from her days as a child.

It could not be called a phobia, because people with emetophobia behaved differently.

So it was simple in her case. She couldn't have it when someone around her threw up. But she would not flee the house as soon as there were signs of a stomach bug.

However, even at that age, she herself cried every time after vomiting.

Everything about a stomach bug was pure horror. The sound, the feeling and especially the smell.
Not to mention the nausea itself.

A few years ago, she probably would have run to her room on the spot and pulled the pillow over her head, but she couldn't do that anymore.
Which is why she went to the bathroom door and knocked softly.

Very carefully she opened the door a crack, only to find her brother sitting on the floor. Leaning against the wall with his eyes closed.

Damn. For the very first time in her life, she wished she hadn't been right.

"Oh no..." she muttered softly as she knelt down next to him. Now it made sense why he had been so unusually quiet all evening.

He immediately shook off her hand, which she had placed on his shoulder.

"Go. I know how much you hate it."

"Forget it. Come on get up. You need to go to bed and you need a Motilium badly".

Once again she hung out the nurse, she couldn't leave him like that even if she wanted to.

Without further addressing his denial, she reached under his arm and helped him stand. As soon as he stood, she touched his forehead, which was truly glowing. It was clearly a stomach bug.

With her help, Pedri made it to his own room, where he immediately dropped onto the bed and closed his eyes again.

Apparently he wanted to suppress the nausea while he stopped moving.
