"And how does it feel?"

"Caye?"

"Huh?" the addressed jerked her head up from her laptop, the black digit still in front of her eyes. None of this was bad, in fact, it had just come out that she had scored average to good on the last anatomy exam.

"Sorry. I just didn't expect the result," the brunette apologized in the direction of Valentina, who was sitting across from her at the dining table, stirring her coffee.

It was Thursday. The day she had been dreading all week, for the very reason that she had to write the first exam in this subject.

At first she hadn't wanted to click on the link that projected the result on her screen, but now she was more than relieved.

She also owed Pablo some thanks, but he was in Ceuta at the moment and was probably on his way to the stadium.

The little anatomy lesson from three days ago had quickly taken a different direction, although she had actually intended to be able to observe and memorize the play of his muscles during the lesson — as she had said, she had intended to, but had ended up moaning mess.

Apparently she had thought at that moment that they had still been alone in a hotel room and not at her home. It had gotten to the point that Pablo had had to use his hand to muffle her sounds.

"And to your question, I feel like shit. How the hell did you survive the first year without breaking off?" she returned to the question posed, not without glancing again at her screen.

"Trust me. We didn't survive it, at least not our souls. They left us after the first physics exam," Ainoa assured her in all seriousness.

"You're going to scare the little girl." Mateo closed his laptop, over the edge of which he kept peeking, probably to look at Valentina's notes, which lay open beside her.

"We're still here. So it's not half bad. I mean eventually you'll already be so used to it that you'll even find time for yourself again." Valentina sipped her coffee, grinning stupidly at Cayetana's bewildered expression.

"Well part of us is here. Where is that bum?"

"I'm here. Sorry I'm late but the bum got held up by Carla," chimed in behind her. Diego placed his motorcycle helmet on the kitchen island, gave Mateo a silencing look.

"We're rather sorry, because we're clearly done studying," fluted Ainoa, who had already given up half an hour ago and instead had been hanging on her cell phone, always drawing the attention of the others by playing TikTok's.

"No problem. I don't have a problem with math and I don't have a problem with physics, that is, I was just tutoring Carla."

Mateo rolled his eyes. "I forgot you were a nerd," he grumbled before changing his mind and crossing his arms in front of his chest, aggrieved.
"Why are you being such a dick and not helping me, anyway?"

The addressed nerd, who had gotten past the greeting round consisting of hugs, raised an eyebrow. "Bum, nerd, dick...do I really need to give another answer to that?"
