"Have a good day, honey." My mother kisses me on the forehead as she walks out the door.

I smile at her as the door shuts.

I have to leave soon, but honestly, I'm dreading school. I've been gone for a while, and though I've caught up as best as I can, I still feel unprepared. Judged, like I should have never come back at all. People will be looking at me I'm sure.

Does anyone care though?

I step outside, mentally psyching myself up. My spirits are high, I feel good.

My mood only lifts higher as I see my friends at the bus stop. Everyone is here today already, I was the last to arrive. My heart flutters ever so slightly, as they direct their attention to me. Ending their conversations.

"Hey guys." I smile.

"How are you feeling?" Stan shoves his hands in his pocket.

"Pretty good." I say, for once telling the truth.

I stand next to Stan in line with the boys. He smiles at me. I smile back.

They go back to their conversations, talking about some game that's coming out soon. They seem excited about it, so I hope for the best for them. I'm not really contributing much, happy to just listen and smile as they continue.

The bus rolls up, stopping with a loud screech as the heavy doors swing open. We step on and sit in our respective seats. I sit near the back and Kenny sits down with me. Cartman is a little in front of us, sitting with the same blond boy from before. While Stan and Kyle sit behind me, continuing their geeking.

I feel eyes on me, so I look over and notice the small blond next to Cartman is looking at me. Knocking his knuckles together, shy. I decipher that this must be Butters. The boy I've heard very little about. I want to meet him.

I wave at him, kind and he excitedly waves back to me as well, completely ignoring Cartmans useless complaining.

I wonder that maybe, he wants to meet me too.

He gets up, suddenly and quickly makes his way over to me and Kenny.

"Hey fellas!" He excitedly greets us.

I quickly make room for him to sit, before he can get yelled at for standing while the bus moves.

"Hmm mmhhm" (Hey Butters)

So this is Butters! I was right!

"Hi Butters, it's nice to meet you!" I giddily greet him.

"Well, it's nice to meet you! You're not scary at all!" He says.

I look at him for a moment and laugh.

"Why would I be scary?"

"Cartman was talking about you..he said maybe, your mean. B-but I don't think so!" He plays with his thumbs.

"Cartman is a lier." I tell him, as I laugh.

"M-maybe, but he would never lie to me! On account of I'm his best friend!"

Me and Kenny share a glance, I decided to let it go.

We continue our conversations way up until the bus stops. We walk off together and as soon as we enter the school he waves me goodbye. I do the same, and continue my smile as I regroup with the guys.

I'm in a good mood.

The farther we get inside, the more I realize just how quite it is in here. It's weird for a school, almost eyrie. I try to ignore it as we walk to my locker. My voice gets smaller and smaller as we get closer, and the hair on the back of my neck stands up. I look around at the guys, who seemingly have so idea. I look to some of the kids around me— they point at me, and whisper.
