(Y/N): Your First Name

2nd Person's POV

"No,"

"Please...?"

"No!"

"Pretty please with a cherry on top?"

"No matter what toppings you give, the answer is still no," you stood your ground, making Bonde pout his cheeks.

"Why not!?"

"James..." you deadpanned, pointing at the cute, frilly pink and red costume and a matching toy bow and suction cup arrows he was holding, "I would rather be shot than wear that,"

Bonde clicked his tongue and rolled his eyes.

"You haven't even tried it on... And besides, we all agreed that you'd be Cupid for the party! Which has already started," he pointed at the guests behind the hedge you two were hiding.

"That voting was rigged, and you know it! I was asleep when it happened!" you countered, evading his attacks and making a break for it.

"You snooze, you lose!" he grinned, following you close behind, "And you said you'd agree to whatever the plan was! That's your fault!"

"I HAD A-"

"-Oh, no!" a voice exclaimed as a table was suddenly on your path, making you tumble as tea and cake clung onto you, porcelain shattering on the ground.

"(Y/N)!" Bonde gasped, dropping the costume and putting his coat over your shoulders.

"Are you hurt?" he asked, checking for burn marks or cuts.

"I'm fine... Except for my dignity," you reassured, looking back at the woman and others giggling behind her.

"Quite clumsy, aren't we?" the woman giggled in a too-sweet tone as she helped you up.

"You really should be more careful... Or you might get hurt," she warned with a fake smile, making you internally frown.

"Right, thanks for the warning!" you faked a smile, pulling Bonde back to the manor and grabbing at the costume.

"James,"

"Yes?"

"If I wear this costume, can I use the props too?"

"To your heart's content,"

"Perfect,"

"Hm..." William hummed, seeing the mess Miss Ashton left.

From the crime scene, he saw your footprints in the cake and icing.

"(Y/N)?" William called out, making some bushes rustle nearby.

"Professor Moriarty!" Miss Ashton lovingly called out of the bushes, making William freeze.

"I wish you the best, brother," Albert smiled and patted William's shoulder, snaking away to the crowds.

William internally sighed as he put on his best smile, turning to the noble lady.

"Miss Ashton, what can I help you with?"

"I was wondering... For the dance later this evening. Would you like to-AGH!" Miss Ashton gasped as cake flew to her back, and a suction cup arrow fell behind her.

"Oh, no!" you mocked, wearing the Cupid costume with the bow and arrow in hand, "Sorry! I'm pretty clumsy," you apologized sarcastically, not an ounce of regret in your voice.

"Are you alright, Miss Ashton?" William asked, keeping up his facade as he wiped some cake off her.

"About the dance," William started, catching Ashton's attention, "I humbly apologize, but I reserved my evening for (Y/N)," William politely answered as you walked up to the both of them.

You put a hand on her shoulder, a proud smile on your lips.

"The bathroom's the second door to your left," you grinned as you pointed back at the manor, making her roll her eyes.

"Blunderbuss..." she whispered under her breath as she walked away, you waving her goodbye happily while William walked up to you.

"Quite impressive," William whispered to you, making you smile.

"It was nothing," you boasted, proud of how it only took one shot to the plate to flip the cake over to Miss Ashton.

"Besides, you looked like you need help... Didn't wanna get trapped into dancing?" you teased William, making him breathe out a smile.

"Well, you're not exactly wrong," he confirmed, grasping your hand.

You jumped at the feeling as William kept his smile.

"Dancing isn't much fun if it isn't with you,"
