"Hey y/n... we need your help with something," Emma said, Jenna standing behind her with an embarrassed look. You and Jenna didn't dislike each other but you also didn't get along.

"Uh yeah, what's up?" You said questioningly as you stared at the pair.

"Well, you know how everyone keeps shipping Jenna and Percy?"Emma asked, your skin crawling at just the mention of the boy.

"Yeah, unfortunately." You said, giving the small brunette a sympathetic look, no one should have to go through that. "But what's that gotta do with me?"

The two of them just stared at you awkwardly, neither wanting to speak first.

"I need you to fake date Jenna." Emma finally spit out. She spoke so quickly that you barely understood what she said, and your mind barely processed her words.

"Hold on, what?" You said, thinking that this was maybe a joke and that there was a camera somewhere. I mean there is no way Emma was serious. You barely ever talked to Jenna, and when you did it was just because you were filming a scene together.

"I told you this was a stupid idea," Jenna sighed, her voice full of regret and defeat.

"No, no, wait, I'm just confused."You said, hoping that at least one of them would explain the situation in more depth. "I just need some more context."

"Okay, well, no matter how much I tell the media that Percy and I aren't together, they never seem to believe me. So if I got into a public relationship with someone else, it would get them to back off." Jenna said, her explanation seemed so simple yet so complicated.

"And why me?" You asked, a nervousness rising in you as you looked between the two girls.

"Well," Emma started, her voice sweet and light like she was trying her hardest to convince you, "you're pretty, and you're nice, and Percy is scared of you..." She said, her voice trailing off on the last bit.

"He is?" You laughed, "Good."

"So," Jenna piped up, looking at you reluctantly, "Will you do it...please?"

"Why not." You smiled

***one month later***

You walked into the apartment you shared with your 'girlfriend' and saw her sitting on the couch, a huge hoodie engulfing her body and her hair tied up into a bun.

"Well, don't you look gorgeous today?" You joked, setting your stuff down and plopping on the couch next to her. She just looked up from her phone with a confused expression.

"There are no cameras around, we don't have to pretend right now." You knew she didn't mean this in a rude way, but for some reason, it still sort of hurt your feelings, and you weren't sure why. But, you didn't want her to notice, so you changed the subject.

"Wanna go get some lunch or something?" You asked, trying to get her to look up from her phone. She was very focused on something, and the way her face twisted when she focused was the most adorable thing you had ever seen. "Jenna?" You repeated, trying to get her attention, but she was still focused on her phone. "Jen," you called again, but still nothing. So, you did the next best thing. "Baby."

"What?" She asked, her head immediately snapping up from her phone, her brown eyes staring right at you. "What did you say?"

"Ha! I knew that would get your attention!" You smirked, watching as her face contorted into one of annoyance, but you couldn't help but notice the small amount of blush on her cheeks. "I asked if you wanted to go get lunch."

"Oh, uhm, sure, why not. She said, a small forced smile taking place on her face.

"Alright, let's go then."

***time skip***

The two of you had just gotten your food when you noticed some people at a nearby table, they were trying to secretly film you and Jenna. Now this wouldn't have caught your eye, except for the fact that you could hear them whispering, saying they didn't think you were really dating.

"Do you trust me?" You whispered to Jenna as she took a bite of her food. She just looked at you strangely.

"What?"

"I said, do you trust me?" The eye contact between you two was harsh as she took a few seconds to debate her answer.

"Yes."

You reached forward with one hand and grabbed her chin, wiping a crumb from her lip with your thumb before smiling at her. Luckily you were both actresses so she knew what you were trying to do and she smiled back like a love-struck idiot. However, she didn't anticipate what you were going to do next. You leaned across the table and pressed your lips gently to hers, trying not to startle the small girl with your actions. You then pulled away and began eating your food like nothing had happened.

Jenna however just sat there, a clear feeling of shock going through her body. But what you didn't see was the fact that she was blushing beet red and her heart was racing, she had never felt like this before.

***two weeks later***

"Hey!" you smiled as Jenna walked through the door of your apartment, she had a clear look of panic on her face. "Woah, woah, what's wrong?" You asked, standing up and walking over to the girl.

"You." She said as she began pacing, her eyes looking everywhere but at you. "What have you done to me?" She asked. Her question was almost as confusing as the way she was acting, and you began to get worried.

"Jen, what are you talking about?" You asked quietly, not wanting to start her any more than she already was.

"This wasn't supposed to happen." She said, running a hand through her hair. You grabbed a hold of her shoulders to stop her pacing and make her look at you, hoping that could calm her down to some degree.

"What wasn't supposed to happen." You asked, her eyes glossed over as you spoke and you could tell she was thinking carefully about what she was going to say.

"I wasn't supposed to love you." She said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. "I mean I was just supposed to fake date you for long enough that the media would stop trying to guess who I was with. But now, now, all I do is think of you."

You just stood there bewildered, trying to take in the words that the girl was saying, trying to make sense of everything. You had been battling feelings for her for almost a month, and now she was rambling on about how you made her feel. You needed to tell her that you feel the same way, but she wouldn't shut up long enough to let you.

"And god, why did you have to go and kiss me? I could deny my feelings for you just fine until you went and did that." She said, her voice growing in volume as she seemed to become angry at the situation. "After you kissed me all I can think about are your lips." As she finished those last words, you knew what you needed to do to get her to calm down and listen.

You gently cupped her face with one hand and pulled her waist close to you with the other, connecting your lips instantly. As soon as this happened you felt her body relax and she finally let herself realize what was going on.

"I know this wasn't planned, but maybe we can make it work." You said hopefully as you stared into her deep brown eyes. She still seemed shocked by what had happened as a pink blush crept slowly onto her cheeks. The more silent she was, the more nervous you grew, afraid you had done something wrong. "Will you say something?"

"Can you kiss me again?"
