gun and i have been dating for one year and i seriously couldn't be happier. i still can't believe, guntapon wongwittaya is my boyfriend.

i was drawn to gun's beautiful voice, his sense of humor, his kindness and his ability to make me feel at home whenever i'm with him.

as our one-year anniversary approached, i knew i wanted to do something special for gun. three years ago, gun sang a song on my birthday. he didn't sing it for me but it felt like he did.

that's why i was now working on a song for weeks and i couldn't wait to surprise my boyfriend with it. gun has always been a talented musician but now it was my turn to sing a song for my boyfriend. i poured all of my feelings for gun into the lyrics and i couldn't wait to see his reaction.

on the day of our anniversary, gun and i planned a romantic picnic in the park. i have packed all of gun's favorite foods and we sat on a blanket in the shade of a tree, savoring each bite. as we finished our meal, i pulled out my guitar and nervously began to play.

you walked into the room
and now my heart has been stolen.
you took me back in time to when i was unbroken.
now you're all i want
and i knew it from the very first moment.
'cause a light came on when i heard that song
and i want you to sing it again.

i swear that every word you sing,
you wrote them for me.
like it was a private show
but i know you never saw me.
when the lights come on and i'm on my own,
will you be there to sing it again?
could i be the one you talk about in all your stories?
can i be him?

i heard there was someone but i know he don't deserve you.
if you were mine i'd never let anyone hurt you.
(no, no.)
i wanna dry those tears, kiss those lips...
it's all that i've been thinking about.
'cause a light came on when i heard that song
and i want you to sing it again.

i swear that every word you sing,
you wrote them for me.
like it was a private show
but i know you never saw me.
when the lights come on and i'm on my own,
will you be there to sing it again?
could i be the one you talk about in all your stories?

can i be the one?
can i be the one?
can i be the one?
oh, can i,
can i be him?

won't you sing it again?
oh, when you sing it again
can i be him?
won't you sing it again?
oh, when you sing it again
can i be him?

i swear that every word you sing,
you wrote them for me.
like it was a private show
but i know you never saw me.
when the lights come on and i'm on my own
will you be there,
will you be there?
can i be the one you talk about in all your stories?

can i be him?
can i be him?
can i be him?
can i be him?

when i finished the song, gun threw his arms around me and kissed me deeply. "i love you so much," he whispered into my ear. "that was the most incredible thing anyone has ever done for me."

i smiled, feeling a sense of relief and joy wash over me. "i'm glad you liked it," he said. "i wanted to do something special for our anniversary."

"ok, so... who's the person that does not deserve me?" gun giggled. "oh, um. i meant sound..." i whispered, totally embarrassed. he laughed, "you don't have to worry and be jealous over him anymore. i only love you."

i asked him, if he remembered that song he sang and what i meant with private show. "no," he shakes his head. i explained that the song, he sang at my birthday, felt like he sang it for me. i explained, how i fell in love with him on that day. and i explained, how he made my birthday enjoyable since my parents couldn't be there and i felt so alone.

he cried. "you've been in love with me all these years... because of my voice?" i nodded. he cried some more. i wrapped my arms around him as we were watching the sun begin to set over the park. for me, it was a perfect day.

i knew that our love was the kind of love that would last a lifetime and i was grateful for every moment i can spend with gun.
