The next day the ninjas all travelled to the Temple of Light together, along with Nya, Garmadon, and Wu. The five ninjas stood in a circle, around Lloyd. "I can't do this alone anymore. As long as I have all this power, they'll never stop coming for me." Lloyd sighed. "From here on out, we can't let anything separate us again," Zane mentioned and [Y/N] nodded. "He's right," Jay spoke. "Absolutely," Cole added. "Let's do this." Kai huffed, and Lloyd smiled at his team before he then struck the bell above him with his powers. The bell clanged and the ninjas felt a force beam into their body. "The Elemental Power, it's inside us," Zane stated, using his ice powers.
"Fire!" Kai sang, his hand on fire. "[Y/N]! Take a look at this!" Kai yelled running around with the fire shooting it out of his hands. "Pretty cool huh hot stuff?" Kai flirtatiously asked, and [Y/N] laughed, "You know..." Kai began, "We could make a pretty h-" Kai's flirting got cut off by Jay eagerly running up to [Y/N] and yelling. "[Y/N]! CHECK THIS OUT!!" He jumped In front of her creating a lightning heart. "Pretty... shocking right." He cracked a joke. "Ha, yep." She chuckled.
Kai grunted and stomped away in jealousy. "How about you... Chill out." Zane made another joke sliding around the temple on ice. [Y/N] then used her powers, they had not changed one bit, but she was left wondering, was that it? Was there more to her powers? Maybe she could ask Garmadon about it.
Later that same day Kai and [Y/N] where both given a mission to track down Pythor without him noticing.
"So hot stuff... you wanna take the new car?" Kai asked leaning on the outside of borg tower. "Yeah, sure." [Y/N] replied. Kai then rushed in front of her scoping her up from behind and running to the car. "Uhhh Kai, why are you..." [Y/N] asked, as Kai jumped into the car placing [Y/N] between his legs. "The tables have turned." He laughed and [Y/N] turned her head to face him confused. "What do you mean?" She asked, and Kai smirked, "you'll see." He replied. "Ok." She spoke before Kai put his hand on the petal, the car zooming off.
Kai had decided that today was going to be the day he would confess to [Y/N], it was now, or never. But first he needed to make her fall for him. "So [Y/N]..." he hummed stroking one of her hands that he held with his thumb, Kai's other hand on the weal, his breath tickling the back of her neck. [Y/N] Their whole body felt sensitive to Kai's touch giving her chills. The ninja of fire was aware of the effect he had on her at the moment. "Y-yeah." She stuttered. The red ninja smirked to himself. "Well, I was thinking maybe we could hit a few restaurants coming back." He suggested, squeezing [Y/N] hand. "Umm," she paused. "Let's just focus on the mission for now." [Y/N] quickly replied, slipping her hand out of Kai's. As much as [Y/N] wanted to stay and hang out with Kai, she couldn't. She along with him was assigned a mission. They were ninjas on a job, not a couple on a date.
Kai grumbled slightly, now what? He was out of ideas. How to get [Y/N] to fall for him? He asked himself the same question over and over again. The red ninja felt rushed aware his teammates also liked her, so he needed to be the first.
