"Did the hospital in that country really hasn't any single file about him?" Dr. Luo asked his son while looking at some files, nakalagay pareho ang hintuturo at ang gitnang daliri sa templo nito habang ang hinlalaki naman ay nagtuturing pundasyon sa kanyang sihang.
"Sinabi ko na sayo dad, wala nga talaga." They both sighed in sync. Like father, like son. Mag-ama talaga sila 'no. Kung ano mararamdaman ng isa, yun din mararamdaman nung isa.
What are they doing exactly? They're searching for some files and documents to have some information about the background of the hospital but most especially, the file about the kid. Unfortunately, they can't seem to find anything of a clue about the child which is odd.
Paulit-ulit na niyang pinaghahalungkat ang tampak-tampak na files katabi niya pero napakamalas lang dahil wala silang mahanap na file. Kahit sana impormasyon nalang sa mga staff ng hospital na 'yon, wala talaga.
"Parang naging baliw na nga si Welma sa kakahanap niya ng file tungkol sa bata but I guess, grabe ang seguridad ng ospital na yon." Saad pa ng kanyang anak. Hindi ngayon maipinta ang mukha ni Dr. Luo. Mula pa kahapon ang paghananap niya sa file tungkol sa bata pero malas talaga.
Was that hospital also an orphanage? He just couldn't believe that the hospital there held the child captive but there isn't a single file about that him? How and where the hell did they hide the documents and files about the records of the children they kept?
And why they are holding him there? Were there also other children too? Kung isa itong hospital orphanage, edi dapat sana maraming makukulit na bata ang nakikita nilang kumakalat doon pero nakakapagtaka dahil wala lang man sila nakita puwera lang sa batang ito. That hospital is a question to them, pakiramdam talaga nila may tinatago ang establisyamento na 'yon.
The only information they know is the location, when was it build and some information about the hospital.
"Don't you think it's weird?" Tanong nito kay Eugene.
Matagal na siyang nagmumuni-muni sa gano'ng kaisipan. Hindi kasi ito mawala-wala sa isip niya simula nung araw na 'yon. Halatang hospital orphanage ito dahil unang una, ang uniform ng mga staff doon.
Pangalawa, ang paraan ng pagpapatahan nila sa bata. it's like, sanay na sila na ganon palagi ang bata, always in rage and maybe scared of what they are going to do to him? He don't know but that's the lingering feeling he always question about.
"What do you think was weird dad?" Umayos siya ng upo, he then deeply inhaled and exhaled before opening his mouth.
"The way they handle that child with care, it's like they didn't want people to see him." Napatawa si Eugene, a sarcastic one. Hindi makapaniwala sa sinabi ng ama niya.
"Dad, did you just said 'with care'? Nasa'n do'n ang care na pinapahiwatig mo sa traumatic na bata?"
"No it's not that kind of care. What I mean of how they handle with care in keeping the child like a..." he continously click his fingers, thinking too hard about the right term in his sentence.
"Like a secret! Like a secret that they will never reveal to the public. Yes, that's it!" Marahan niyang hinampas ang table niya when he's glad that it really came our from his mouth. Kung baka sakaling hindi, pupunta siya sa point ng bubay niya na dudura siya at basahin kung ano man ang nakasulat do'n.
"Like he's a prisoner locked in a control room?" Eugene questioned.
"Prisoners that got locked in a control room is for disciplinary and that's the consequence they will face whenever they got in a bit too rough trouble." He explained as he sat up straight like he's ready to rummage the bunch of files. Again.
