👼 MY ANGEL 👼

Jeremy didn’t go back to the villa, nor did he agree to go to Victoria’s. Instead, he went to the Callahan Manor and locked himself in his old room - the room he had slept in since he was a child.

Sitting on the bed, Jeremy placed the painting on the headboard and stared at it.

Gabrielle Serrurier refused to answer any of his questions, stating that the muse would have to give him permission first.

So Jeremy didn’t get much out of him. At least not as much as he hoped.

Elsa’s face was still fresh in his mind and heart - her sweet, innocent, adorable face.

Jeremy spent the entire time gazing at the painting while holding the necklace bottle containing her ashes. His heart ached uncontrollably, the pain just as deep as the first day.

Suddenly, his phone notification went off. He lazily laid on the bed next to the painting and watched the viral video. It featured Victoria scolding the mysterious girl from the auction, who seemed to disappear after the confrontation.

Jeremy couldn’t deny that the girl’s facial features looked just like Elsa’s. Could she still be alive? Could she be the one who posed for the painting? Or was she simply a look-alike?

The video showed the mysterious woman accidentally spilling a drink on Victoria. However, Victoria’s reaction, screaming at the woman and using her position to try to get her thrown out of the building, tarnished her good reputation.

She no longer resembled the elegant lion cub that everyone thought she was. Victoria faced criticism for her overreaction and was told she should have understood that it was an accident. She did not expect to be criticized for this.

“Jeremy?” Victoria’s voice called out in front of his door.

Victoria was beyond frustrated at this point. She even called the company that makes the aromatherapy kits, and they told her that her order was not yet ready, so it could not be sent. The hot dress she bought to wear for Jeremy was also ruined, so she had to wear something else. Now, what was she going to use to sleep with him?

“Jeremy, it’s me, Vic... Have you seen the video circulating around on the internet? You see how people are flipping the script on me and making me look like the bad person? Could you please tell them that I am the victim here? Defend me, like you always have?” Her soft voice spoke to Jeremy.

“Also, I need you right now. I am pretty low, maybe you could comfort me and make me feel better?”

Victoria stood at the door and waited for a response from him, but she was met with silence.

She knocked again, “Jeremy?... Jeremy?... Jeremy I need you.” She called out with a broken voice.

She waited at the door for five more minutes, but no one answered her.

She tried to open the door, but it wouldn’t budge. Feeling defeated, she went downstairs only to bump into Lorna.

She explained what happened that day with a painting that looked like Elsa. Of course, she didn’t mention that she saw a ghost of her. She did not want to appear crazy. “Mom? What is going on? It seems like Jeremy doesn't want to marry me all of a sudden. Did I do something wrong? Why doesn’t Jeremy love me anymore?” She sobbed, hoping Mrs. Callahan would feel sad for her.

And she did.

“Don’t talk such silly things. Of course Jeremy loves you. He only got the painting because he feels guilty because Elsa was not Gwen and he mistreated her. But that’s it. His love is always for you. And you know what? I will help you get a date for your wedding.”

“Really? How?”

“Next week is the anniversary party of the Callahan cooperation. It will be a big event with a lot of important guests. We will give out invitations to attend. All we need to do is announce that Jeremy is going to marry you and give it a date. Once it is out there in the media that the wedding day is set, Jeremy won't be able to avoid it.”

When Victoria heard that, she smirked. The Old Master cared about the image and what the public thought. If Jeremy was announced to marry Victoria, he would have no choice but to marry her. Even the Old Master would put pressure behind it. Two years was enough. If he won’t set their wedding day willingly, then he would after a little persuasion.

Elsa saw the video going viral and how Victoria was criticized for even yelling at the auctioneer who didn't wrong her, and smirked. This was not a part of the revenge. This was just Elsa having fun. The true revenge would begin soon.

“Are you sure about it?” Lui asked as he placed a kiss on Elsa’s neck.

He himself wasn’t sure if he was comfortable with Elsa being around those people. But Elsa insisted she had to because she had scores to settle with many of them.

“I am,” she then turned to Lui and looked at his pink lips. “You know what they say, keep your friends close...”

“But your enemies closer...”Lui finished the saying.

Elsa smirked then whispered, “exactly.”

Elsa then reached out for Lui’s lips and kissed him. Lui wrapped his arms around Elsa, holding her closer as he deepened the kiss.
