👼 MY ANGEL 👼

The week passed by rather quickly.

Jeremy tried to get Gabrielle Serrurier to tell him how he got to paint this a year and a half ago, but he refused to talk.

He simply said his muse preferred it that way. She did not want her information to be told to anyone.

When Jeremy asked to meet his muse, Gabrielle said he would get back to him on that, only to leave the country and go on a traveling spree.

And why shouldn’t he, after making one hundred million with only one painting?

The day of the party came. Victoria had ordered a white Delancey gown again, one that resembled a wedding dress.

Jeremy spent the entire day in the office and only came when the party was about to start.

So Victoria had to go to the party with Esther instead.

Many reporters were there, ready to film, knowing that with the reports of a wedding coming, Jeremy wouldn’t say no once this was put out there.

When Jeremy arrived, Victoria went to meet him and brought him to the yard where the party was. The first thing Jeremy noticed was the paparazzi. “Why are there so many reporters here?” he asked, slightly annoyed.

Victoria innocently answered, “It could be because it’s a Callahan anniversary party.”

“But still,” Jeremy replied, “there shouldn’t be this many reporters invited in.”

Braden came walking towards them with Rosanna holding his hand. “Braden ruined his coat, let me go get him all cleaned up,” Rosanna said. Braden had a little stain on his white suit coat. Victoria was not really interested in Braden at the moment. “Okay, Mum. Please keep an eye on him afterwards.” She said that as a way to send both of them away before they ruin her plans.

The father and son just gave each other a glance and didn’t speak. They hadn’t made a connection because Jeremy couldn’t look at Braden for one second without thinking of his daughter with Elsa. Braden was only two years old, but he was a quiet child who stayed by himself.

Rosanna excused herself and went into the house with Braden so she could clean him up.

Jeremy avoided looking at Braden completely. He avoided everything to do with him, despite him being his flesh and blood. He knew it wasn’t Braden’s fault that he lost his daughter. He shouldn’t be avoided like he did something wrong. But Jeremy just couldn’t find it in himself to even hold his own son.

When Jeremy and Victoria walked closer, they found Lorna standing on the stage making a speech. The moment she spotted them, she smiled and gestured for them to come closer.
