Going to Mattheo proved to be an awful idea.

Alessia sat in the Great hall with the rest of the school because Dumbledore had an "important" announcement.

Usually she would be excited for this, but all she could focus on was the unbearable pain that was emitting from her arm.

What was even worse was that Mattheo was sat mere inches away from her on the other side of the table, constantly moving his eyes from the front of the hall to her.

With a single clap of his hands, Dumbledore silenced the students, preparing himself to speak.

"Well, now we are all settled in and sorted, I'd like to make an announcement" He spoke, sparking the interests of multiple students throughout the room. "This castle will not only be your home this year, but home to some very special guests as well"

It was hard to listen to Dumbledore through the pain Alessia was feeling, but what was distracting her even more was Filch sprinting down the hall, diverting the attention of the students from whatever point Dumbledore was trying to make. Alessia had to admit, she was intrigued by what Dumbledore was saying, and just wished Filch would go away so she could listen.

He whispered something inaudible into Dumbledores ear, which just made Alessia roll her eyes. The teachers, especially Mcgonagall were staring at the two in utter confusion, and almost disgust too. Filch was embarrassing himself.

The caretaker then took the same lengthy sprint back out of the hall, allowing Dumbledore to speak openly again.

"As I was saying, Hogwarts has been chosen to host a legendary event; the triwizard tournament."

As soon as he uttered those words, an uproar sounded around the hall, excitement and chatter bouncing off the walls. Alessia caught a glimpse of Fred and George, the Weasley twins, who looked especially excited.

"For those of you who don't know, the triwizard tournament brings together three schools for a series of magical contests"

Alessia was distracted once again from her train of thought by Pansy nudging her in the shoulder, in attempts to gain her attention.

"Are you going to sign up for it?" She asked, which almost made Alessia burst out laughing. She knew what the tournament would be like. People die in it. Personally, she had no interest or intention of participating, but she knew some people who might.

"Nott doesn't have the courage for that" Mattheo spoke from across the table, obviously trying to agrivate Alessia. The girl just rolled her eyes, before focusing back on Dumbledore, so she could find out more about the contest.

"From each school a single student is selected to compete. Now let me be clear, if chosen you stand alone. And trust me when I say, these contests are not for the faint hearted."

Alessia couldn't help but scoff at his words, conscious of all the younger students that would probably be terrified by what he was saying.

"For now, please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of Beauxbatons Academy of Magic and their headmistress Madame Maxime"

Before anyone could take a moment to absorb that information, a swarm of girls dressed in the purest shade of periwinkle blue walked into the hall, bringing a striking presence of sensuality and grace. Most of the boys stared at them walking down the hall, with wide mouths, especially Ron Weasley, who seemed overly impressed, as if he hadn't ever seen a girl before.

"Blimey that's one big woman" Seamus said, referring to their headmistress, making Alessia giggle slightly. She couldn't help but laugh and admire at the same time the sheer perfection the school carried. They all took their seats at the Ravenclaw table, fitting for the colour they were adorned in.

"And now our friends from the North" Dumbledore announced, "Please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and their high master Igor Karkaroff".

In complete opposition to the girls from Beauxbatons, the boys from Durmstrang stormed through the doors, hitting their sticks against the floor, making the harsh sound resonate through the halls. The students watched in awe once again, yet the teachers looked slightly threatened by their domineering stature. Alessia gasped when she spotted Victor Krum in the group, the Bulgarian Seeker. The people who follow quidditch would be going mental.

"Blimey it's him, Victor krum" Ron Weasley said, in both shock and fear. The boy stormed through the halls, Karkaroff closely behind. He caught Alessias eye, almost double taking when he saw her. Victor gave her gentle smile, before returning to their grand entrance.

Dumbledore and Karkaroff engaged in a hug, but Alessia got an incredibly weird feeling about him. She became very uncomfortable, shifting in her seat at his presence. What worried her even more, was that Snape was doing the exact same thing from his chair. Something was incredibly off about that guy.

"I don't like this one bit" Alessia said to Pansy. The whole situation, the contest, the people, just seemed wrong. She had never gotten this feeling before, but she was definite in her opinion. Little to her knowledge, Mattheo watched her reaction curiously, intrigued by how she was feeling about the whole contest. It was almost as if she could simply tell it would end badly. He would need to investigate that further.

The students from Durmstrang sat on the Slytherin table, Victor Krum placing himself besides Alessia. He didn't speak, just looked at her a few times from his position. Mattheo rolled his eyes, out of annoyance. He just didn't know why he felt that way.

"I would like to say a few words" Dumbledore said once all the external students were settled. "Eternal glory. That is what awaits the student who wins the Triwizard tournament. But to do this, that student must survive three tasks. Three extremely dangerous tasks. For this reason the ministry has seen fit to impose a new rule.

To explain this, we have the head of the Department of International Magic Cooperation...Mr Bartemius Crouch."

Thunder suddenly echoed around the castle, the bewitched sky that was once calm turning into one of lightning and chaos. Before it got out of hand, Someone imposed their magic, stopping the skys demonic behaviour with a single beam from their wand.

Alessia caught sight of the mysterious figure stood in the corner, his wand stretched, pointing at the sky. This person had a mechanical eye and shaggy blonde hair that was sticking to his face. He was also drenched from head to toe in rain, obviously a result of the storm echoing outside.

Alessia suddenly got taken away from reality, thousands of images flashing through her head. The dark mark, Voldemort, the devastation at the World Cup, the mark flashing through the sky, at the hands of a brunette man with his tongue stuck out in a menacing way. This man was a death eater, he had that look about him, the clothes, his demeanour, it was all distinguishably devious.

Alessia flashed back into reality as quickly as she left, the pictures she saw still faintly playing back in her head.

Why had Alessia seen that when she caught sight of the stranger who had appeared?

Before she had time to comprehend what had happened, her head slumped onto the table, and darkness suffocated her vision.

A/N- WOOOOOPP and the plot thickens. First lesson with snape and the big reveal of Alessias power in the next chapter! Hope you enjoyed. I'm finally bringing in the main plot of Goblet of fire so it will be a lot better from here on xx
