C h a p t e r 9

Danny's POV

It's been a week since our small gig in Tonbridge. Since then Lauren and I have barely talked. We did agree to still be friends and have contact of course, but for some reason that has changed. I just hope she's okay. When we have talked it has always been me who has taken the initiative and I barely get a word out of her. I hope she is just busy, maybe hanging out with her friends or something, something that will cheer her up.

'You ready to write some more Dan?' Right now me and the lads were in the studio writing for our new album.

'Yeah I'm ready. I think I got a few ideas for some songs we could write.' I pulled out a pen and some notepads and started writing down some ideas...

Lauren's POV

'Lauren, did you hear what we just said?'  Wait what? I snapped out of my thought and realized Sophie was sitting in front of me. To be honest I wasn't paying attention at all these days. It feels like I'm sleepwalking. Sophie looked at me questioningly.

'Uhm, no sorry, I didn't. What did you say?' I asked her.

'Since it's Friday night we thought we could go out tonight, do you wanna come?' Well it's been a while since I've done something with my friends, it can't hurt can it?

'Yeah I'm in, it should be fun! What are we doing?'

'We could go out to eat or something? It's been a while since we've done something like that together.'

'Yeah I'm in! Shall we say at 7 ish?' When we planned to meet up we always said ish after the time. We both were occasionally late so instead of saying an exact time when we both knew it would be a little late anyways we used ish, then we had an excuse to be a little late.

'Okay we'll meet at the restaurant we usually go to, the Asian one?'

'Oh my god yes! It's been ages since I've been there! I'll see you there Sophie!' I said as I walked out of the class room after our last lesson before the weekend had finished.

* At 7pm ish Friday night*

'Hiii, shall we go inside?' Sophie opened her arms for a hug and we decided to go inside. Tonight it was just us since no one else had the chance tonight, they were either working or doing homework.

'So you have to tell me about The Script!! How did you become so good friends with them?' I really hoped we didn't get into that subject tonight, but since she asked I can't refuse answering it can I? I've been so lost these past couple of weeks now, just floating in my own bubble not letting anyone in.

'Well, then they came to our school and I got invited to stay behind after the show and met them. We all got along really well and we stayed in touch. Then they had a small gig in Tonbridge 9 days ago, I had a few days off school last week so they invited me over and I spent time with them from Wednesday after the gig and until Thursday, they dropped me off at home before driving to the airport.'

'Oh wow, you are so lucky!! Being friends with your idols must be a dream!' At this moment Sophie looked a bit star strucked to be honest, it was amusing to see. I had never seen her so excited before actually. Not even when she won 1kg of chocolate which she played 2 pounds for. I think that was one of her best days, she loves chocolate.

'Yeah it is. I don't really see them as famous people, they are my friends now so that really doesn't matter to be honest.' As long as I avoided mentioning Dan I think I could survive this night.
