Lauren's POV

It was now 14:45, I was meeting Oscar out in the park in 15 minutes. I walked down the stairs and grabbed my phone on the way out the front door. Just as I had gotten outside my phone rang. It was Danny.

'Hey Danny, whats up?'

'Ah hey Laurs, just wondering what yer doing now, thought if yer not busy we could do a Skype call?'

'Umh, I'm on my way out right now Danny. I'm meeting a friend at the park. I don't know when I'll be back to be honest, but I can text you and if you're not busy we can do it later tonight or something?'

'Yeah sure, looking forward to it! Have fun with yer friends Laurs, see you later!'

'Okay, bye Dan.' I hung up the phone and continued walking towards the park. I couldn't help feeling a bit guilty over this though. I felt like I was sneaking behind Danny's back with someone else. I didn't do anything illegal at all, but it was still uncomfortable. Dan and I were certainly not together, but there was something going on for sure. And getting interested in Oscar now is like replacing him and I feel really guilty about it.  Oscar is less complicated and it feels good.

'Hey Lauren!' Oscar came walking towards me and we both pulled in for a hug.

'Hey, great seeing you again, even if it was only hours ago the last time.' We smiled and decided to just walk around and talk for a bit, getting to know each other.

'How do you like the school and all so far?' I asked as we had been walking for a few minutes in silence not knowing what to say at all.

'I like it. The teachers are okay and the people as well.' He beamed looking down at me. Thank god he was a bit taller. I'm quite short so that's not really hard at all, but you get it. Tall guys were the best ones. It was much easier to lean on them as your head reached their shoulder, perfect for naps!

'That's good. People can be a bit harsh sometimes, but I'm glad they're nice to you.' I said smiling. He smiled back at me and we quickly changed the subject from school to just everyday activities and music. Turns out he did taekwondo on a daily basis and he was quite good too. He had the black belt and that was pretty easy to see, he was very fit. He wasn't planning on doing taekwondo here though. the clubs in bigger cities are much bigger and better, neither of us is really sure there are any clubs nearby either. He also played the piano of course so he had that to lean back on now that fighting was out of the question. He also told me about the other schools and what he wanted for the future and damn, he must be one of those really smart kids. He has top grades in most classes and have had that all years basically. And he plays the piano, has black belt in taekwondo and is good looking. I guess someone is just really lucky in life. Oh, and he also wanted to go to med school to be a doctor, of course. His father also owned some accounting company as well so his family was probably loaded as well. The more I got to know about him the more perfect he became to me. He really had it all. Any person would be crazy not go go for a guy like that.

'And what about you?' He suddenly asked as I had just processed the info he gave me about him and his life. I stayed silent for a while just thinking of some answers to give him before I spoke up.

'Well... I've been living here all my life. I love photography and music, always have really. Uhhmmm... And I spend a lot of time with my friends and at work. I work at a little fast food shop in the centre and have been for about a year or so. It's really quiet and I actually enjoy it. I do work a lot as well so I do spend my days doing something more or less useful.'
