C h a p t e r 19

Danny's POV

I woke up the next morning with Lauren sleeping next to me, or almost on top of me. She had her head on my chest and her arm over my stomach holding me tight in her sleep. I liked waking up like this, I just hoped that this was not like the last time. I hoped she wouldn't wake up and believe this was another mistake, cause it wasn't. It was the best thing that had happened in a long time.

'Hmmm morning.' Lauren started to stir.

'Morning Laurs.' I said kissing the top of her head. She started to turn so that she was now on her stomach with her chin resting on my chest.

'A really good morning.' She said sheepishly while moving her head up to peck my lips. I liked the way this was going. Waking up to this was something I could definitely see myself doing for a long time.

'So what are the plans for today?' Lauren asked.

'Dunno yet, can't we just stay here just a bit longer please?' I did the puppy eyes and a small pout. I knew she couldn't resist that.

'Ugh okay, but only cause I can't resist that look.' I grinned at her. I knew I had won her over.

'So what do you wanna do today?'

'Hmmm, we could ask Mark and Glen? We have only been out to eat with them since I've been here, would be nice to hang out with them too.'

'Tired of me already?'

'Nah not yet, you're not getting rid of me!' She pecked my lips once more.

'Good then. I'll call them now.' I was about to get out of bed when Lauren pulled me back.

'Not yet, you've made me wanna stay!'

'Glad I have that effect on you!' I said at the same time as I winked at her.

'Oh you have no idea what you do to me.' She winked at me. I cupped her face in my hands and kissed her passionately.

'Hmm I think we better get up before this leads to something else right now.' Lauren whispers in my ear. As much as I would like to continue this, I knew we couldn't. It was way too soon and she wasn't ready for that, but she was worth the wait. She got out of bed and went into the bathroom. Meanwhile I pulled out my phone and called Glen.

'Hey Glen! What are yer plans for today?' 

'Ah Dan, nothing much really. We could all get together maybe since Lauren's leaving this afternoon?' 

'Yeah was just about to ask you the same thing, Lauren wanted to see the two of you today.' 

'Wait, it's only 09:30 Dan and yer already together? Surprised yer even up at this time!' Glen pointed out. Well he had a point, I wasn't really a morning person.

'Well yeah, I spent the night at hers.' I admitted. I knew what I had done, but there was really nothing to hide.

'Ah good on you! Don't tell Mark this though!' 

'Ah yer right, but nothing happened though.' 

'Belive ye Dan, she's not that kinda girl.' 

'I know. We did have a good time though, I think we're starting to get somewhere now.'

'Really Dan? That's great, I'm happy for you.'

'Thanks Glen, so we'll see you later then?' 

'Yup, I'll call Mark and I'll text ye with the details.'
