Lauren's POV
'You sure you don't want us to drive you to the airport?' My mom asked for the hundredth time this morning, each time I said no. I really didn't want to spend an hour in the car with her, my dad and Danny at the same time.
'Like I said all morning, we're perfectly fine with taking a taxi to the airport. Saying goodbye here is so much better instead of having so many stressful people around us.' Even though this was not the reason I didn't want them to take me it's what I told them, and they believed it, saved myself from another awkward conversation.
'Okay, I get it.' Mom said rolling her eyes at me. She knew I was right deep inside, but she was stubborn.
'So I guess its goodbye then.' I said looking down the street noticing the taxi coming our way.
'Goodbye Lauren. We'll miss you here each day. If you ever want to come back we'd love that.'
'I'll be fine mom, I got Danny, Mark and Glen to take care of me in Dublin. It's just an hour flight or something...' I said smiling at her. The fact that in a few short hours I would be in Dublin living my dream.
'Make sure she calls us often and you take care of her. If she doesn't like it you send her back to us and we'll work it all out' My mom said to Danny, obviously not wanting me to go.
'Don't you worry, I'll take good care of her, nothing will happen. And I'll make sure she calls at least 2 times a week.' More like 1 time during a week...
'Oh no no, 3 times, no questions asked. At least we're letting you go.' Of course she had to say this. She was not happy at the thought of letting me go at all. Even going to London was unthinkable for her, but she had to let me go at some point. How would I be able to live by myself if she never let me go anywhere to explore?
'Mom, I'll call whenever I have the time to okay? Now we really have to go. Goodbye mom.' I said walking over to my mom and giving her a hug. She took me in her arms and hugged me tight, way too tight for my liking.
'Bye dad.' I said walking over to him and giving him a hug as well. Danny took the last of the suitcases into the taxi and closed the doors. He came over to me again and took my hand. I waved at my parents and got in the taxi. I was now on my way to Dublin, finally.
*After landing in Dublin*
The plane has just landed and we got off walking towards the luggage pickup. I had brought 5 suitcases full of clothes and other stuff, while Danny had brought one too, even though he was with me for only a few days. Obviously his large suitcase was not full at all so naturally I borrowed some space in his as well. Before takeoff Danny had texted Glen letting him and Mark know we were on our way. They had gone to my new little apartment to get it ready, so for us now the goal was to collect the luggage and get over there as fast as possible. Luckily we found all the luggage quickly and also there were no fans or anything stopping us so we were out of the airport and safely in a taxi within 30 minutes. We were only 20 minutes in the taxi until we got to the apartment. I had yet not seen it, Danny did everything for me, but he had sent pictures and we did a little house tour via skype. It looked okay for me, I was happy as long as I got a place to sleep.
'Glen just texted, he and Mark are at yer apartment now so we're gonna meet them there.' Danny said. I had spent the first half of the trip just looking out the window taking it all in, I guess Danny understood I wanted a quiet ride so I could take in all this new stuff.
'That sounds good. How long until we're there?' I asked turning my head from the window to look at him for the first time since we got in the taxi.
