Lauren's POV

'Okay class, today we have a new student, please be nice to him and take good care of him.' It's the first day after Christmas break and we had a new boy in our class today. I can't complain about that. He was good looking, and seemed very nice. He took the time during our 5 minutes break to go say hi to the whole class. No one here used to do that. Maybe for once we had actually got a decent person in our class. The last 2 we got in our class were 2 girls. Bitches both of them. They started to hang out as soon as the last of the 2 joined our class, now they are hated by the whole class. The new guy had said hello to most of the class by now, it was just me and my gang left. He came over to us and said hello to Sophie, Cassidy and Joanna first, then lastly he turned to me.

'Hi, I'm Oscar, nice to meet you!' The guy stretched his hand for me to shake his hand.

'I'm Lauren. Nice to meet you too! You seem like a really nice guy, no one has ever taken the time to say hi to everyone before, it's different, in a really good way!' There was something about him that instantly got me to actually like this guy. He is the only guy around here I've actually liked in the entire school, the rest are a bunch of assholes.

'Yeah I try my best. You obviously know the class well, so who do you recommend staying away from and stuff like that?' Well, I liked where this was going. Firstly, he was making a conversation with me, or us. And I finally got to speak my mind about those 2 bitches over there giving me glares for talking with Oscar.

'Everyone here is nice when you don't know them that well. If you stick to like saying hi and talk in class everyone is okay. More than that, the 2 girls over there are smart to stay away from. They are the bitches here, no doubt. Everyone else is okay I guess. I don't really know everyone here that well since I'm always with these girls so.' He nodded and smiled at me.

'So I take it you're okay to hang out with then?' Well this was unexpected.

'Yeah of course! If you wanna hang out it's no problem at all, happy to get to know you, you seem really nice!' No, this was not me licking his ass to get on his good side, this was me being honest and grabbing the chance. Who knows what will happen.

'Cool, so we could go and have lunch outside if everyone is in for it?' Oscar looked at us girls.

'We're in!' Cassidy added. She looked over at me and grinned. She knew where this was going, and so did I. I must admit, he was great looking. And his eyes oh my God. They were kind of darkish blue and shiny. And his hair. It wasn't like styled or anything, it was just natural. Guys these days spend way too much time on their hair, they probably look better with natural hair as well. Well some do, others need to fix up a lot before going out, no offense to certain people.

'Okay so we'll meet for lunch then.' Oscar said to us. We smiled and nodded back before our teacher told us to be quiet again and continue reading our homework.

*Lunchtime*

'Hey Oscar! Shall we go?' The girls and I practically said in choir.

'Yup. Is it better to sit inside instead? It's snowing outside and it's pretty cold.' He had a point to be honest.

'Yeah that's fine, let's go find a place.' We went for a walk in the hallways and found a bench. I sat down on the middle of the bench. Oscar came to sit down next to me almost immediately. I felt an elbow hitting me lightly in my ribs on the left side. I turned my head and glared at Sophie who was sitting next to me. She gave me a grin back.

'So what are all of you doing later today then?' Oscar asked.

'Uhm the 3 of us have plans for later at least.' Joanna said looking at me and smiling. She knew we all had plans today, but now she excluded me so he could ask me.
