Danny's POV
'Is it okay if we make another stop on the way over?' I asked the driver as I had told him the adress to my ma's house. He nodded at me and I told him the adress to Laurens apartment building as well. The driver nodded once again and we started to drive. I pulled out my phone to text Lauren telling her that I was on my way over now. She replied back instantly letting me know she was ready and that she'd wait outside. It was about 5 minutes until we pulled up in front of her building.
I leaned back in the seat looking out the window thinking about Lauren. Well that wasn't really a suprise. She had been on my mind every day for so long now, even more now after we talked and she said she loved me. And also after yesterday I felt like we were really getting somewhere. Well she pulled away at the beginning yesterday, but that was all my fault as I took it too far too soon. After that we just acted like friends the rest of the time we spent together, and it felt good. We worked really well together as friends too, but it's clear that we're meant for so much more. We are meant to be together. I was longing to have her in my arms again, kissing her and telling her how much I loved her. I wanted to have her close and never let her go or hurt her again.'Here we are sir.' The driver said as he stopped the car. I snapped out of my thoughts and saw Lauren standing a few meters from the taxi. I took of my belt and got out of the taxi. She spotted me immediately and a smile formed on her lips making me shiver.
'You look gorgeous as always.' I said kissing her cheek. She giggled and got in the taxi. I smiled and sat next to her telling the driver to drive off.
'So what have you been doing today?' She asked.
'Nothing really. I went to bed pretty early last night so I woke up a bit walker than I would have wanted this morning. So I just got out of bed and sat down in the couch and watched TV all day. And how was your day?'
'Well that sounds like a perfect day for me really. I've just been at school, as usual. And then I rushed back home and got changed.'
'When did you finish school today by the way?' I asked curiously.
'At 4, so I didn't really have that much time. But as always you're a few minutes late so it wasn't really a problem.' She beamed making me chuckle.
'Well I thought I'd give you some extra time.'
'Well thanks for that. I'm gonna pretend you knew when I was finished so this actually sounds sweet.' She said still chuckling.
'Good hahah....So yer excited?'
'For the dinner?'
'Yeah.' I said.
'I am. I'm not nervous like I was the first time, so I'm excited. I can't wait to see the girls again. And Andi. And your mom.'
'They look forward to seeing you again too. I called my ma after I got home and she was really happy that you would want to come too. I think she's gonna bake for you as well.' I said. She awwed and pulled me closer resting her head on my shoulder, totally unexpected, in a good way.
'And the girls are very excited too. I called Andi as well. She told the girls after I hung up and she sendt me a picture of them a few hours later still not in bed. They were so excited they couldn't even sleep until nearly midnight.'
'That's sweet. I'm looking forward to seeing them again. All of them.' I placed one arm around her waist and squeezed her tighter kissing her temple like I used to do.
'And we're here.' The driver said stopping outside my mothers house. I handed him some money and thanked him before helping Lauren out of the taxi. I took her hand and we both walked up to the door. We didn't even get a chance to knock before the door came open. My ma instantly pulled Lauren into a bone crushing hug. I laughed a bit looking at the two of them. They had really gotten close and kept getting closer even though ne and Lauren weren't together at the moment.
