C h a p t e r 27

Lauren's POV

Danny and I have been together for about 4 months now, soon 5. Things are going great so far, even though the distance can be hard sometimes. Later this summer he'll be going away a lot to promote the new album which will be out late in September. From then he'll be gone for a year with some breaks every once in a while. It will be a tough year but I know we'll make it. Each time we've been apart we've come together stronger each time. And also, we would be together each time he had a break anyways. I got into nursing in Dublin and I'm moving there this week.

Danny managed to get me a small, but cheap place to live. At first he suggested he could find a place for both of us, but I refused the idea. I just want something on my own at first. At that he just said he wouldn't be home 2/3 of the year anyways, but I just like the idea of having my own place. A place I can relax in, something completely mine. Of course he wasn't too happy and we had our first fight, but we managed just fine. It was no big deal and we both said sorry the same day as we both knew we couldn't stay mad at each other for any longer.

'You ready soon Laurs?' Danny asked. Today was the day I finished high school. Naturally he wanted to be there for me. He was originally in Dublin with his family cause at the moment he had a small studio break, but he chose to fly out to see me graduate.

'Yeah, let's go.' I grabbed my phone from the dresser in the hallway and grabbed his hand on the way out the door. Me, Danny, my parents and my sisters all got in the car and drove away to my school. We arrived at the school 10 minutes later and I went to my friends while Danny and my family found their seats. It felt really weird having him with me in public like this. I've already noticed a few people looking at him. I won't judge them, I would do the same. It's not exactly every day a high profiled person comes here. I liked having him here. It was my last day of high school and then I didn't have to see these people anymore. And besides, Danny is here for me.

'Congratulations Laurs! I'm proud of you.' Danny said after the whole ceremony. He pulled me in for a tight hug.

'Thank you. It feels so good to be finished here.'

'I bet it does. Now you got the whole world in front of you.'

'I sure do, you're in front of me.' I smirked looking up at him.

'Yer adorable.' He kissed my forehead quickly and we pulled out of each other's grip and went over to my friends.

'Congratulations all of you.'Danny said to Sophie, Joanna, Cassidy and Oscar. Seeing Oscar again has been weird. We said we would still be friends, but we have barely talked since we broke up the weekend I spent with Danny in Dublin. Also I've barely seen him. He changed some subject at school and we didn't have that many classes together at the end. Maybe it was for the best. I was with Danny now and I was happy and in love.

'Thanks.' Oscar said. He didn't look too happy about Danny being here, but that was really not my problem. The conversation between all of us went on for a good 5 minutes until Danny and I had to go. I still had a few more things to pack up at home before moving to Dublin tomorrow. I was really excited about it. I could finally get away and just live my life and do whatever I wanted, whatever made me happy. I wasn't starting school until September. That would give me a few months to spend with Danny and also get settled in Dublin.

'So, now that yer done with high school, what's the first thing you would like to do?' Danny asked. We were now sitting on my bed staring at all the luggage I was bringing. I had just finished packing my last suitcase full of clothes. I was now ready to leave and start a whole new life.

'Uhm, I kinda feel like telling my friends about us. I don't know if you're okay with it, but we've been together for 4 months now and I really don't wanna keep this from them anymore.' I said moving closer to him. He put his arm around me and started drawing small circles on my back giving me goosebumps.
