Meeting Colton... and the First REAL Day on Set:

January 27th

I woke up the next morning not even needing an alarm since I woke up fifteen minutes before it would go off. I was just too excited to get to call Jake again. It had only been eight days since I had seen him last, and it already felt like eternity. I didn't know how I was going to last these next six months. Luckily I got a two week spring break from shooting during the same time Jake had his.

I pulled on some jeans and put on a hoodie. Hurrying to the kitchen to grab a Pop-Tart, and ran out to the car my dad had already been waiting in for five minutes.

"Jay, you can't keep waking up ten minutes before we need to go. The hair and make-up teams are going to get annoyed that you have bags under your eyes." He said pulling out of the driveway.

"I'm sorry daddy..." Just as I said that, I felt my phone vibrating in my back pocket. I screeched causing my dad to throw his hands over his ears.

"What the hell JJ? What's going on?"

"Sorry!!! Jake is calling me." I hurried to answer the phone, forgetting my dad was ever even there.

"Hey babe." I said way to excited to hear from him. I looked over to find my dad rolling his eyes.

I could hear that he was in the lunch room because of all the people I could hear in the background. "Hey beautiful girl. Are you on your way to the set?"

"Yep! I'm actually shooting today, and I'll meet my co-star today too."

"Hmmm... why do I feel worried." He mumbled.

"Jake! You don't even have to worry. He's just a co-star." I said with a kind of annoyed tone.

"Well, I'm sorry babe. I trust you, it's the eighteen year old pretty boy I don't trust. You're just too dang beautiful." He said, and I could tell he was trying to earn some bonus points.

I couldn't help but laugh. "Jake, you're such a dork." I heard his little laugh that turned into a chuckle that always made me smile. However, this time it sent shivers down my spine. I just wanted to be with him, hugging him in his arms, having him always there, and knowing he was never going to leave.

"Hey Jay, I have to go talk to coach about tryouts tonight. Can I call you after I've finished and let you know how it goes?" he said, and I could tell he needed to go.

"Definitely, I want to hear all about your tryouts."

"Okay, I will Jay."

"You better..."

"I don't want to say goodbye again... Jay this is literally killing me."

"I know." I started choking up in my throat and my eyes began to water. I knew I shouldn't cry right before they needed me in the hair and makeup department, but I didn't care at this point. "You promise me you'll call me after tryouts, Jake?"

"I promise. How about we video chat?" He said hopefully.

"Sure! Facetime sound good?"

"Sounds good beautiful. I'll see you then. I have to go talk to coach."

"Okay, I love you. I really do..."

"I love you too. That's why this is so hard..." he said. I could tell he was upset too. This whole thing was such a mess for us.

"I know. I'll see you later Jake."

I pulled my phone away hanging up. Leaning my head against the window, I didn't even care as the tears fell. I could feel my dad was watching me.
