Its been a few days since the incident at the motel and its been surprisingly normal. No murders, no deaths in general. It was almost to good to be true.

"The hospital seems really busy tonight, do you think?" I asked as Scott and I got off of his bike. We were bringing my mom some dinner because she had a late night tonight.

Scott shrugged. "Yeah, I guess more than usual." He placed his helmet on the handle as We walked into the building, patients were everywhere. I saw mom in the back, walking with a person who was on a stretcher. She looked over to us as Scott waved his hand.

"Oh, thank God." She stopped in front of us, taking the food. "I'm starving." She turned around, placing the food on the desk. "Oh, i'm sorry. Thank you for bringing me dinner." She hugs both of us.

"Is everything okay?" Mom nods. "Except for half of the accident victims in a ten car pile-up being rerouted here from downtown, and the E.R. attending not answering any of his pages, yeah, i'm okay." I furrowed my eyebrows. "What does not answering pages mean?"

Mom sighed. "It means nobody can find him, so now we have to wait for the on call to get here."

A cough erupted from behind us. "Miss?" Mom turned around, glancing behind her I saw a lady. She was holding her chest, breathing heavily. "Yes?"

"Excuse me, can I kind of please have something for the pain?" Mom shook her head. "Okay, i'm sorry." She grabbed the patients shoulders. "But, actually, giving you something could complicate things, so we really just need to wait for the doctors okay?" She nodded. "Yeah."

Mom walked back over to the desk. "Okay. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard." The receptionist typed something on his computer. "10 minutes."

I glanced back over to the girl, she was sobbing. I walked over to her, sitting down next to her. "Uh, you know, I think that I read online that sometimes human contact can help with pain." She nodding, still sobbing.

I slowly reached for her hand, grabbing it. As I squeezed her hand, I felt the pain trickle up my arm. She gasped, breathing less heavily. She slowly looked over to me, smiled.

As I smiled back, I heard a familiar voice. "Someone help me!" I looked over to see Ethan holding up Danny. "Oh, I need help." I smiled once more at the lady before running over to Danny.

Scott and I grabbed his other side as he groaned in pain. "Okay, gentle, gentle." We set Danny down on the chair as he panted. "What did you do to him?" Scott growled to Ethan who shook his head.

"Nothing. He said he was having chest pains and trouble breathing, but it just kept getting worse."

Mom held the stethoscope to Danny's chest shaking her head. "This is not good. How much longer on Dr. Hilyard." The receptionist shook her head. "His larynx has shifted to the side. I think it's a tension pneumothorax."

Suddenly, Danny lerched forward, throwing up some substance. It was nothing i've ever seen. "Mistletoe." Ethan mumbled, staring at it.

"Come on, we have to get him to a room." Mom said to the other nurse. He nodded, picking up Danny, placing him on the stretcher. Scott and I glanced at each other before following her.

"Can you three please go back to the waiting room?" Mom groaned as she glanced down at Danny.

"Where are the nurses and the doctors? Where is everyone?" Mom shook her head. "It's a full house tonight. They're tending to other patients."

"Okay well, mom how can we help?" She shook her head. "Honey, you can't. His lung is collapse. His heart is being pushed against his chest cavity so-" Scott cut her off. "He's gonna die isn't he?"
