Chapter 22 - These are the Evil Witches?

As the group travels towards the Witches village, Rose tells Lux "When we get to the village you can stay with Me and my daughter Sera.
We have a old room with has a bed and desk.
Have you ever been taught Boy.
Also what is your name.
I can't just call you Boy."

Lux says "My name is Lux.
I have never been taught before.
Everything i have learned has been self taught."

Rose turns round on the demon cat and says "then i will teach you how to read and write.
Everyone should be taught how to learn from books.
Education is important and you will learn."

Lux says "I only know how to write my Name, thats it.
I thought only the nobles can read?"

Rose tilts her head and says "Nobles? Do you mean tribe elders.
Maybe in your tribe but in ours everyone learns how to read and write.
You will see."

The group then travels in silence for the rest of the journey.

Eventually they reach a medium sized village with stone walls and a large wooden door as the gate to the village.

As they approach the gate opens and they ride inside.

They are greeted by a group of children who begin to shout and pet the demon cats fur who try to shake them off.

Rose gets down from the Demon Cat and waves the children back.
Rose says "Children this Lux, he is new to the village so try not to eat him. Hahahaha.
Lux I was kidding, no need to scowl."

Lux stops scowling and says "sorry Rose.
Hello children."

Rose tilts her head and say "Ok there you have seen him. Now go and play.
I need to take him to the Queen.
Come Lux, follow me and only speak when spoken too.
Don't look the Queen in the eye and we should be fine."

Rose the begins to walk towards the Largest build which is made of stone.
The building is a small palace with only a ground floor.

When they enter 2 guards inside the main door stop Rose and Lux.
One guard says "Halt, who is this Rose.
You can't just bring outsiders to see the Queen"

Rose says "Its ok.
We found him in the forest.
He says he managed to enter and leave that demon Clan' territory.
Through the monsters territory."

The guard looks at Lux and says to Rose "Stay here and Don't Move."

The guard then enters the palace and returns a moment later.

"The queen says she will see you.
No sudden movement."

Rose and Lux then follow the guard inside.

When they enter Lux see a large throne with a woman sitting on it.
As the approach the queen waves her hand and the 2 guards leave.

The queen then says "And who is this you have brought to see me Rose."

Rose bows and says "This Is Lux My queen, I found him in the forest nears that Demon Clans border.
He says he escaped through their territory, through the monsters territory."

The queen sits leans back and says "Did he really?
Boy did you in fact pass through the monsters territory?"

Lux looks at Rose who nods then he says "Yes i did, it is easy when you can walk through shadows unheard and unseen."

The queen raises her eyebrow and asks "What do you mean 'walk through shadows unheard and unseen.'"

Lux says "It would be easier to show you."

The queen nods and sits back.

Lux then using his Shadow magic causes the shadows near him to expand and cover half the room.
He steps backwards and then teleports 5m behind himself, making sure he stays within the shadows.
