Chapter 23 - Taming The Darkness.

As Lux enters the dining room to see a round table which is 4m wide, 1.5m tall.
The table is filled with knifes and forks and a big pot of Stew.

Rose turns to Lux and says "Here you are just in time, please pick a chair."

As Lux is deciding where to sit, Sera stomps into the room and glares at Lux.
She then decides to sit on the left hand side of the table.
Lux decodes that it is probably best if he sits furthest away from Sera.
When he is seated, Rose places Bowls in front of both Lux and Sera which she then fills with the stew.

When Rose sits down between Both Luc and Sera she says "Isn't this nice, eating as a family.
Lux tomorrow you will begin your lessons on our clan's magic, but first you will need to learn how to read."

Sera under her breath says "Stupid monster."

Rose asks sera "What was that?"

"Nothing mother."

"Good, just make sure it was nothing."

Lux watching the mother and daughter argue just sits quietly and begins to eat his stew.
The stew tastes like pork and beef with some tomatoes and onions.
(this is quite nice.)

When Rose sees Lux eating she asks "How do you like it Lux?"

Lux nods his head quickly and says "This is delicious mother."

Lux quickly finishes his bowl of stew and then sits waits for Rose and Sera to finish their own food.

Rose says after seeing Lux's bowl is empty "if you are still hungry, there is more in the pot. Just take some."

Lux smiles and says "Thank you."
Lux then creates a large hand made from darkness which he uses to lift the pot from the centre of the table and begins to ladle stew into his bowl.

As he does this Sera screams and runs out the room.

Rose and Lux look at each other then look at the door sera just left through.
Rose says "what is wrong with that girl?"

Lux says "Mother would i be able to eat this in my room?
I am tired from cleaning."

Rose smiles and says "of course you can but you must wash it after."

Lux nods and say "Good night."
As he leaves he kisses Roses cheek.

When Lux returns to his room he locks the door and teleports to his cave.

"Now its time to hunt and replace any traps."

After he is finished he teleports to The Devourer Tribes village.

Lux appears in John Little's tree house and wakes him up.

"John i have something to tell you about the Witches."

John wakes with a start and says "Lux why are you here?"

"I just told you sleepy head.
I have managed to infiltrate the witches village.
I have been adopted by their queens daughter.
They seem to think that your tribe is made up of demons.
Thats why they keep on attacking.
They want to tame you i think.
I need to return in case Rose checks my room.
Rose is the queens daughter.
I will check in with you when i have a chance.
Good night."

Lux then teleports back to his room in the witches village.

Just as he appears a knock at the doors happens and a voice says "Lux are you awake?"
Lux quickly lies on the bed and says "come in."

Rose enters and says "i just wished to say goodnight.
Tomorrow you will have to wake up early to begin your lessons."

Lux yawns and says "ok i will go to sleep now then.
Goodnight mother."
