Chapter 24 - First day of School, again

(i have exams coming up so i might not update for the next 2 weeks (maybe if i have spare time) but will make up for it by writing 3 chapters after the exams.

After breakfast Rose stands up and claps her hands.

Two servants come into the room and begin to take the dishes away.

Rose says to Lux "ok its time for your first lesson.
Let me explain your schedule.
In the morning you will learn how to read and write, at noon we will stop for lunch then after, your magic lessons will begin with the queen.
After that we will have dinner.
You will be free to do what you want after that.

Now lets go into the classroom down the hall."

Rose then leaves the room.
Lux stands and quickly follows her down the hallway into a room.

The classroom has 2 desks, one at the back facing the door and one in the center of the room facing the other desk.
The room has 2 windows which is letting sunlight into the room.

Rose sits behind the desk facing the door and says "Lux please sit down and we will begin.
You will find paper, a quill and ink.
Please take them out."

Lux nods and sits down.
He opens the desk and find the paper and writing tools.

Rose then nods and says "now i will write out the letters for our language, i want you to learn how to draw them."

Rose writes on a piece of paper then hands it to Lux.

Rose then continues to teach Lux the native language letter and how to spell words till Noon.

Rose stands up and says "Its time for lunch already Lux.
You have learned most of the basic words and all the letters, your comprehension skills are extraordinary.
The servants should have prepared Some sandwiches for lunch.
Lets go eat then visit the queen.
She holds court to hear any problems within the tribe everyday at this time."

They both leave the room and enter the dining room where a platter of different flavoured sandwiches are arranged.

Lux walks over and picks up one then takes a bite.

He tastes ham, cheese and mustard mayo with gerkins.

"This is nice. Try one Rose."

Rose smiles, picks up one as well and begins to eat it.
She then says "I know these are nice. They are my favourite.
Great minds think alike."

Lux looks at the ground and becomes homesick, he then says "But fools seldom differ.
My mum always used to say that.
Before she and dad disappeared."

Rose comforts Lux and says "Sorry about your loss but you have a new family now who will protect you from harm.
Now lets eat and then go to the palace.
The queen will be finishing soon."

They then continue to eat till the pater is empty.

Rose cleans her hands and says "we should be leaving soon.
The queen will be waiting."

Lux nods and says "ok.
Lets leave now, I'm excited to learn how to enslave demons."

Rose laughs and says "ok lets go now."

They then both exit Rose's house and begin walking to the palace.
When they get there they run up the steps and tell the guards they have arrived.

A couple of minutes later a guard arrives and begins to lead them to door near the back of the hall.

The guard bows and says "Please enter the stable."
