Chapter 44 - First Step On The Path Of Assassins

(There won't be an chapter update on saturday as it is my Mothers wedding.
So i am releasing Saturday's chapter today. - Author)

(several hours later)

Lux woke from his nightmare with sweat coating his body.
Lux lit the lamp hanging from his ceiling by creating a small fireball on his index finger.

Lux sighed and says "I wonder what time it is?
Anyway, i should check the contracts board in the main hall.
Better wash the sweat from my body first, can't sneak about if people can smell you from afar. Hahahaha."

Lux gets naked and creates a small raincloud above his head which releases warm rain.
Lux quickly scrubs his body clean and stops the raincloud spell.

Lux creates a warm wind which spins around his body drying it.

Lux then uses his water magic to lift all the water created by his 'shower' and evaporates it using fire magic to turn the water into steam.
Lux condenses the steam into a solid ball using water magic and grows a wooden cover over it.
He strengthens the wooden cover to the a steel like hardness and places it into his vault bracelet.

Lux smiles and quickly gets dressed into his Assassins Gear.

Lux makes sure his Assassins Gear is placed correctly and then leaves his room.

Lux walks down the ling corridor till he reaches the main hall.

Lux looks about and sees a large bulletin board with smaller bulletin boards lined up in a row.

Lux sees the largest bulletin board has 'Novice' written above it.
There is no one near the Novice Contract Bulletin Board.
Lux walks over and begins to read them.

Lux scans through and sees all of them are for civilians like merchants and nobles.
There is one contract which is for a Beggar which who sleeping outside a Merchants house.
The reward for this contract is 10 silver and 10 Guild points.

Lux thinks with a interested expression "i think i should take the Beggar contract.
It is easy points for my Assassin's Guild Rank."

Lux takes the contract from tge board and takes it over to Ghost who is sitting at her desk writing in a large book.

Lux hands the contract over and says "I want this contract."

Ghost nods while still writing and picks up a wooden stamp while not looking and slams it on the Beggar contract.

Ghost then waves her hand and says "Complete the contract with in 1 month. Goodbye, i am busy."

Lux nods, picks up his contract and exits the guild using the tunnel.
When Lux appears in the graveyard, he sees the sun just appearing on the horizon.

Lux exits the graveyard and travels to the location marked on the contract.

Lux runs through the city using the rooftops and arrives at the address in about 2 hours.

Lux looks down into the street and sees the Beggar sitting next to a large red door with gold decorations in the shape of a lion.
Lux can see that the Beggar is a middle aged man with grey hair.

Lux watches the Beggar for 6 hours and not once did the beggar move from where he was sitting.

Lux getting bored decides to sneak up on the Beggar using the Shadow Cloak enchantment on his Assassin's Gear.
Lux activates Shadow Cloak and checks to make sure that the enchantment fully works.
When Lux is sure, he descends the build he has been sittting on and begins to sneak up to the beggar from the left hand side.
Lux slowly moves closer and closer like a real shadow.
He uses the shadows cast by morning sun to get within arms reach of the beggar.
