As I entered the hall the lights shimmered brightly, hurting my eyes. The polished titled floors glowed as the crystal chandeliers shimmered down on them. I couldn't help but notice the awkward orchestra setting up and bustling around the room in hopes to figure themselves out. One staircase broke into two and back into one at the back of the room with red carpet falling down it. The carpet followed down the steps and traveled under my feet at the base of the hall. Columns sat parallel to the red rug and were completely white, matching the walls. The set up was admirable and I was wonder struck.
"I don't think the purple looks good with the white." I heard Tamaki's voice echo around the hall.
"Tamaki there is no time to change the color now, we have less than an hour to complete this. I don't think we should worry about the color of the curtains and worry more about the fact that the dinning tables aren't here." Haruhi sounded.
Their figures were placed in front of a window. I did with Tamaki, after all the color doesn't fit right. Blue or green would be more fitting.
"Hey guys!" I waved to them as I approached them.
Haruhi gave me a big smile and a soft hug. "You look great." Tamaki nodded.
"Where is everyone? Am I early?" I checked my phone making sure I arrived at the appropriate time.
"You're fine. Everyone is actually going over the menus and preparing snakes and such."
"Oh cool." I smiled.
"They are in the back room over there." Haruhi could tell I wanted to see them.
I said my goodbyes and headed in the back, next to the staircase, into the slightly opened door.
"If we put the chocolate covered strawberries with the chocolate nuts people will have too much chocolate." Koaru stated.
"But the caviar can't be put on the same plate as the chocolate, they don't mix." Finn retorted.
Koaru groaned, but a smile creased his lips. "Ok, that would be gross." They laughed.
I managed a fake cough to gain the attention of the ones around me. "Sup!" No one noticed but Kyoya and Hikaru.
"These idiots..." Kyoya dragged.
I chuckled. "I guess they can't help themselves."
Hikaru's mouth opened like he was about to talk but then closed it when Finn walked over to me.
"Hey Tess, you look wonderful this evening." He kissed the top of my hand.
I gushed. "Why thank you, it's something I just threw on." I couldn't have bullshited that comment anymore even if I tried.
"What do you say we take a stroll through the garden?" Finn placed my hand in between his giant ones.
I nodded, the idea of fresh air before a giant cascade of people devoured this hall sounded wonderful. I couldn't help but think there was more to the walk then met the eye, but Finn was a good man so I saw no harm in a friendly stroll through the roses.
~
The moon was full and the sky was wide with twinkling drops of stars filing the sky. There was not a single cloud coating the night sky and the only light that guided us through the maze of flowers was the glow I the moon itself. The air was rich with the popery of the throned petals. Even though winter was approaching rapidly the flowers stayed bright and full.
"Isn't it lovely outside." A rustle from the bushes to our right made my eyes wonder.
Financier agreed. "I'm fairly surprised I'm not freezing." We laughed.
"I know right. It amazes me what this weather has done all these years." I twirled in my heels.
Finn gave a perplexed look and rose a brow. "I don't follow? What do you mean by ALL?"
I stopped and caught his stare. It was hard to chock out a word, thinking something would slip, but nothing did. "I've been to Japan before."
"Before? You mean before school here?" We sat down on a cement bench in the middle of the twisted rose bushes.
I pulled my dress under me to the back of my legs so it wouldn't bunch up when I sat down. I gave a soft nod in his direction. "Yeah, my grandfather used to own the house we currently live in. We would visit him during the summer a lot. Sadly he passed away a few months before I arrived last year. We came here to use the house and move away from Florida."
"Florida? Is that far?" His eye sparkled in the dim light.
"Very, but you come France, right?"
"Yeah it's boring there." He leaned back placing his arms behind his head and pressed his weight against the back of the bench.
"Your lucky, I've always wanted to travel. The only placed I've ever been are Florida and here. Paris would be a step up. I've always wanted to go there." I sighed, pushing a strand of loose hair behind my ear.
"Trust me," Finn rolls his eyes at me. "It's not THAT great."
I glanced down at my shoes and pushed them on and off my feet. I felt my chest for my locket and pressed my fingers over the gold chain.
"Hey Tess." His voice was soft and his warm breath mixed withy he cold air against my neck. I could already feel goosebumps form on my neck.
"Yes?" I lowered my voice.
His left hand sat on my right and gently grazed my skin as he made his way up to my shoulder. The bumps were no longer just on my neck, they were everywhere now. His long fingers caressed the back of my neck. With a gentle tug our eyes met and I could feel out breath mix in the air in front of us. We had been in this position once before but I never did get the chance to play it out.
Finn's remaining hand held my cheek along with the other an I knew I could only handle the suspense for so long. The thumbs from his hands made small circles in my flushed cheeks when we drew closer. Our lips grazed each others and I could barley remember what I was doing.
Our lips twisted until I could no long tell the ways we were going. My fingers locked in his hair and his hands glued to my hips. We fell in sync with one another. I could hear soft moans, but couldn't tell which were who's.
My dress didn't allow me to part my legs around his torso, but I managed to land a spot on his lap. We didn't stop, only for short breaths which didn't last very long.
I get his hands move from my hips to my ass, I didn't really know what to do. I pushed away to get more air. They way his green eyes looked at me sent chills down my spine.
"I've been waiting to do that." He breathed against my next. He moved me off his lap and placed me down on the bench. The surface was cold and my skin was on fire, it felt nice.
Finn placed a quick kiss on my lips and then brought his to my neck. My insides began to twist when his skin touched mine. My neck was my weak point and he used it against me.
"Tess! Financier!" The twins called through the garden.
I pushed Finn off me and dusted myself off after we got off the bench.
"Hey." I tried to act casual with a small smile.
"What were you guys doing out here?" Koaru asked with a tilt from the head.
I gave Finn a quick look, then back to Koaru. "Just talking." I shrugged my shoulder.
'That sure was some talk...' My conscience spoke in my head.
"Oh, well the quests are about to arrive so the hosts need to take their places." Koaru instructed.
I saw Hikaru's eyes turn to slits when they fell on Finn. In return, Finn gave him a sexy grin that made what to laugh at the irony of the situation that happened moments ago.

The party was crowed and stuffy and I practically wanted to hang myself for all the girl squeaks and drooling over Finn. Maybe it was me being jealous or what but after awhile you would swear those gasps and mousy-squeaks would get to you. I'm almost certain I lost brain cells.
"Ugh!! This party!" I groaned standing next to the twins.
"It isn't that bad..." Koaru shrugged, filling his glass with a red liquid. "What do you think, Hikaru?"
Hikaru had his arms crossed and was biting down on his bottom lips with anger. Maybe it was the party but I didn't see how you could get that angry.
"Fine!" Hikaru spat at his brother.
"Maybe you need some space. Koaru, wanna go for a walk?" I asked him.
"Why? So you can suck face on the bench!?" Hikaru glared at me.
I gasped. "You saw?"
He ran his fingers through his hair and I saw Koaru walk away slowly grasping his crystal glass for dear life.
"Yes." He hissed through clenched teeth.
I shuffled my feet awkwardly. "I don't see why you need to get pissy about it." I scrunched my nose up and folded my hands in front of my chest.
"I'm not mad about it." He turned his face away from mine.
I raised an eyebrow. "You clearly are, for no reason." I retorted.
"I'm not mad at you, I'm mad at him."
"Why?" I was utterly puzzled. Why would he be mad at him? It just don't make seance.
"Because he kissed you."
A few people looked over to us and I began to feel awkward being watched while I was arguing.
I grabbed Hikaru's hand and pulled him out in the courtyard. "Come with me." I pushed us through the labyrinth of bushed and ended up in the middle of the path.
"Ok, now explain to me why you are mad at him."
"I don't have to." He turned on his heels and started to head back.
I pulled his wrist and stopped him in his tracks.
"I said I don't have to." Hikaru's arm pulled from my grip and his shoes headed back into the crowd.
