The Beginning Of Friendships

As I was watching TV I heard a knock on the door . I got up from the couch and opened the door to see an unexpected guest .
It was Sophie .

"Morning Soph," I said as I stepped to the side for her to enter. 
"Morning Jess ," Sophie said as she came in . 
"What brings you by here and how do you know where I live ?" I asked her.
"I was bored at home so I  thought why not come and hang out here and Luke told me but well more like I forced him to tell me but don't worry about that ," Sophie said .

She sat on the couch and so did I .
"Oh well uhm would you like something to eat or drink ?" I asked her as I went to the kitchen .
"Sure ," She said .
"I have  some pasta that I  made and  would you prefer some apple juice or water ?" I asked her .
"Apple jucie please , " Sophie said .
While I was heating up the pasta Soph was watching TV when my phone rang .

"Can you get that Soph?" I asked her .
"Sure ," She said .
"Hi , ohh sure , " Sophie said .
"Its your mom ," Sophie said handing me my phone .
"Hi sweetie , so we are coming back on Monday so we need you to come pick us up from the airport ," My mother said and that made me very happy.

"Ohh okay , but why so soon ? You just  started the trip ," I said .
"We know but we forgot that your birthday is coming soon , " My mother said and that made my heart drop a little bit .
I was so caught up with work that I  even forgot about my own birthday that was coming up this week .

"Ohh yeah , don't worry about it . I don't need to celebrate anything ," I said .
"No ,  we want to give you the best birthday ever ," My mother said.
I couldn't argue anymore so I just agreed .
"Okay fine ," I said. 
"Alright see you Monday sweetie, and don't forget ," My mother said.

"Okay , bye ," I said.
I cut off the call and then I was asked so many questions by Soph.
"When is your birthday ?" Soph asked .
"Are you throwing a party ? " Soph asked .
"How old will you be ?" Soph asked
Before she asked another question ,  I said "The 20th of August , No I am not and I will be 23 years old " .

"How come you never told me , " She asked.
"I just officaly met you yesterday ," I said .
"True ," Soph said then laughed .
Wow Sophie the forgetful person .
"Well we need to get you a birthday dress , a cake -

"No Soph I don't want to do anything big for my brithday ," I said. 
"Please,"Soph said begging me .
"Please," Soph said .
"No ," I said.  
"Fine ," Soph said and then I gave her food and drink .

I know this chapter was maybe a bit  boring but what do you think .
