Jena's POV
"You mean you and Jay would will have a date?" Rain doesn't look surprise at all.
Was he expecting this to happen?. I was expecting him to doubt my actions and be overprotective because usually he acts that way
"yeah. And I don't know why I even agreed in the first place?" I scratch my head
Rain look at me from head to toe. He's giving me his suspicion look again. Does he find me guilty of anything? Did I say something wrong?
"It's simple. You agreed on a date with him because you're starting to like him" he grinned at me
"It doesn't make any sense. I think it's more of a friendly date or whatsoever." I contradicted
"If you don't have any feelings towards him; then why do you always think about him?" he asked
Well that makes sense. Why am I even thinking of him always?.
"I really don't know. I guess me, Donatello and Sir Louie easily get attached to Jay. I mean he's kind and very helpful. Without him, the restaurant might have been close by now" I assured
"No Jena. It's not just that" Dad said from behind
Isn't he suppose to be asleep by now?.
"What do you mean dad?" I curiously asked
"Stop using this" he pointed my head
"Instead, use this" he pointed my heart
"Dad is right. It's been two years already since your bastard fiancee left you. And when Jay entered your life. We were able to witness for ourselves how you became happy. You starting to forgot Dylan. And it's all because of Jay" Rain said
It's been two months since we met Jay. He's bright, caring, and I bet a loving person as well.
As for now, I don't want to assume things. I don't want everything to rush.
Dad is right. I'll open my heart once again for someone. If I didn't feel anything...then I guess that's a sign that tells me that were not meant for each other. I will accept whatever my fate is.
And I really hope that it won't turn out to be a failure again. I've been hurt once. And I promise to myself that it won't happen again.
