                     Rain's POV

Today is Paige's birthday so I really prepared a lot for this. I bought a bouquet of pink roses since it's her favorite color. This is it. The day that i'm going to confess my true feelings to her.

It's now or never (I thought to myself)

Leendon is right. If not now, when?.

I've waited two years. Two years of hiding my feelings towards her. And this time, I can't hide it any longer. I'm confident enough to say that "she's the one" 

I can't find her here. Where is she?. There are too many people in here.

"Woahh!! Is this for real?" Leendon appeared out of nowhere

I nodded my head in response

"Finally!!. I've always thought that you won't confess your feelings. It turns out i'm wrong. You're the man!!" He complimented

"Well, thanks bro. But can you please lower done your voice" I whispered

"Girls, are you ready?" A girl yelled

Me and Leendon followed where the voice came from. We ended up in the school covered court.

Wow. A group of grade six students are gathered here. There actually practicing their performance. Afterall, Paige is their adviser.

They actually prepared a heart shaped, pink cake. And that they also have pink balloons with them.

The girls are holding a big card and that all their messages are written there. While the boys are practicing for their special dance number. (Specifically the Fetty Wap Challenge)

Wow. They really prepared so hard. How sweet of them.

"Oh my!! Ms Paige is coming in our way!" One of the girls yelled

Leendon looked at me and the bouquet that i'm holding, giving me a sign to get ready

Well yeah, I won't back up anymore.

"Happy Birthday Ms Paige!!!" They screamed in unison

She looks flabbergasted as she saw the pink balloons scattered all over the court

"I wasn't expecting this!...oh my...thank you my dear students!" She hugged them one by one

"I thought you guys are all absent. I went to the classroom and all of you are not there" there's tears in her eyes now. I bet it's tears of joy.

"Ms Paige, please sit here and enjoy our performance" The girl with a long, wavy hair pointed a chair in the middle of the court

Paige followed the order of her student. She looks like a queen that is sitting on her throne

"Hello???" Leendon snapped his fingers

I guess i've been staring at her for too long that I haven't realize that the performance of the students are already done

The boys performed their special dance number. I must admit, they are really talented

"Will you do it or not?" He gave me his deadly look

"I will..just chill bro...I got this" I assured him

We were sitting too far from her; that is why she wasn't able to notice us

The students stated  their sweet, thoughtful  messages and it made her cry even more

Well she still looks pretty though.

They were singing a happy birthday song to her and that they gave her the cake

She blew it right away and thank all of her students for their effort

The students exit the court. She was about to go out as well; when suddenly I screamed her name

"Paige!" I stopped her from going out. As I was coming near her

I i'm holding the bouquet of pink roses at my back.

"Oh hi Rain!, I never knew that you are here the whole time" she simply smiled

"Happy Birthday!" I greeted her

"Thank you" she answered back

I was about to confess my feelings when suddenly a tall, masculine guy came

"Oh..you're here!" She approached the guy and hugged him tightly

"Rain this is Trevor, my boyfriend. Trevor this is Rain, my great friend" she introduced

Ouch. Really, just a friend?

It seem like a knife has stabbed my heart a hundred times, and has let the lion eat it.

Trevor extended his hand for a handshake and I accepted it without looking at them.

"Do you want to join us for lunch? I've invited our co teachers as well" She offered

"I'm busy. I'll be checking a lot of test papers. You guys just go ahead" I answered weakly

What have I done to deserve this kind of pain?

They left and I stayed here in the court , looking like a fool

"She has a boyfriend all this time?" Leendon asked as he came near me

"You've heard her right?" I'm pissed off right now

" Why didn't you confess to her?" He asked once again

"I need to go home bro" I stood up and decided to leave the court

"Wait. How about the flowers?" He followed me as he was holding the bouquet of pink roses

"Throw it" That's all I can say

I'm so stupid ( I thought to myself). If only I confess early enough; this wouldn't have happened. How weak of me to hide and keep my feelings for two years.
