Chapter 64

                    Rain's POV

Yesterday, I saw Jay going in the elevator. So I decided to follow him. It seem like he came from the room of Dr.Morris.

I saw myself in a parking lot and that Jay is talking someone in his phone.

It's just strange.

When I asked him why he is in the hospital, he told me that he went for a check up because he's not feeling well.

Well as a matter of fact, I  saw him in the second floor.

I know he's lying. But I just don't know the reason why.

At the same time, I can't tell Jena my suspicion because I don't have any evidence to show.

I know that Jay is a good guy. But something tells me that he's hiding something from us.

I don't want them to break up just because of me. But I want to see to it that Jena wouldn't be hurt in the end.

As for now, he's making my sister happy and that's what matters most.

"Do you want to join us for lunch?" I was brought to my senses when Paige asked me

"Uhmm, I still have lot's of things to do. You guys can go ahead" I reasoned out

The truth?. As much as I wanted to join her for lunch, I just can't.

Everytime I see her, it reminds me of her boyfriend. And it really hurts as hell.

Keeping my distance from her is the only thing that I can think of in order to move on and accept the fact that she has someone else already.

"There you are bro!, I've been looking everywhere for you. You told me that we'll be eating in a restaurant nearby, right?" Leendon appeared out of nowhere.

Oh no. Now Paige knew that I'm lying.

"But I thought you're busy, and now Leendon says that you'll have lunch with him?" She looks disappointed

I just glared at Leendon.

He covered his mouth and hurriedly went out of the faculty room. I bet just now he realized what he has done.

"Can we talk somewhere else?" She asked

"Okay" I answered

There's a vacant lot near the school , so we decided to go there.

"Why did you lie?" She looks sad

"I just did that because that's the best thing to do" I said weakly

"The best thing to do?. Avoiding me is a good thing for you?" She looked at me directly.

"Yes" I answered right away, without any hesitation

"Why?" She's controlling her tears now. Did I do something wrong to you?" She added

"You don't understand" I defended myself

"Then tell me, because I will not really understand you if you won't tell me the reason" she begged

"Please. Tell me. You're my friend and I can't help seeing us like this. You're ignoring--" 

I suddenly interrupted her. "That's the point. Were just friends" I emphasized the last word

"What do you mean?" She seems confused

"Forget it. It's nothing" I said

"You know what? I'm trying to fix our friendship, but it seems like you don't want to be friends with me anymore. Fine, I will not care either. " She looked at me badly

She was about to leave but she turned back. " Go back in the school as well. Leendon is waiting for you" she added

And just like that she left.

Goddamn it!. Why is life so complicated?
