Chapter 66

                    Jena's POV

"Are you okay?" Dad asked all of a sudden

I nodded my head in response

The truth is?, I'm not okay. I was just trying to help Jay in his family problem; afterall, he's my boyfriend.

But it seems like he doesn't want me to help him. I mean, he's always here for me whenever I have any problem. I just want to return the favor.

Even though he's jolly whenever he's with me, a part of me says that he's lonely deep inside. He just doesn't want to show it to me.

"Dad, is it bad if I just want to help a person?" I asked

"It's not bad. But if Jay doesn't want you to get involve in his problem, then let him be. Just give him space and make him feel that you're always there to listen to him, if he's ready enough to open up to you" Dad answered

Wait. How did dad know that i'm referring to Jay?

"You know, even if you don't tell me who it is, I can sense it. Afterall, you're my daughter. I know you very well" 

I guess dad has read my mind. Well that explains it.

"But dad it's been one week already since we last talked. Isn't it considered a space?"  I said impatiently

"It's part of love Jena. There are things in life that sometimes we can't just understand. Just wait for him." Dad explained

Well dad is right. I love you Jay. I love you so much. And if it means giving you space, then it's fine. I'll wait until you're ready. I will always be here for you.

"Thanks Dad" I hugged him tightly

"What's going on?" Rain looks confused

I thought he's still in school. I wonder why he's here already.

"You're sister is just happy" Dad answered

I gave him my widest smile.

"Good thing you're happy, unlike me" he mumbled

Wait. What?. Even though he said it in a whisper like tone, I'm pretty sure that what I've heard is " Good thing you're happy unlike me"

"Are you okay?" I asked

He gave me his "Do you think I look okay" look

"Have you eaten already?" Dad asked

"Yes Dad" he said lazily. He was about to go up the stairs when suddenly Dad said something once again.

"Jena, cooked your favorite. Roasted chicken"

"I'm full Dad. I'll just eat tomorrow. Now if you may excuse me, I still have lesson plans to do" he continued going up the stairs.

What's with him?. I rather let him tease me all day, than seeing him like this. Now, he  almost looked like a zombie from walking dead.

I was about to follow Rain; when suddenly my dad stopped me from doing so.

"Give your brother some space too" Dad said

It's just a coincidence. Jay and Rain needs space at the same time?. Except that there situation is different. Jay needs space from me. On the other hand, I have no idea what my brother is going through right now.

I guess I'll have a hard time in giving them space. I care for them a lot. And there both important to me. I wonder how long I should give the both of them some space.

My brother acts as if he's Superman. He always tells us that he's okay. But I know, that he's hiding his problems too. Well he's not superman. He should understand that he needs help sometimes. Even Superman needs help too, I bet.

Aarghhh!!, what is happening to them?
