From Rejected to Loved

Chapter Forty-Two

Hi Guys ^.^

So I know its been awhile and I have to apologize for that. For the longest time I had lost all interest in writing due to some serious personal issues with my life over the last few years. I had a huge writers block and didn't even think I would ever finish this story. But today is a new day. I decided to take what my husband suggested and try to finish this story (mostly because I think he wants to know how it ends lol). So I did what any good story teller does (according to my friend Brandon) I re-read my story to see where I left off and to see if I could continue where I had left you guys. To my surprise mind you I just finished reading the last chapter update and now I rip, roaring, and ready to go. So I hope you like this chapter and this is my promise to you that I will finish this book.

Chapter Forty-Two

Looking around the small group that had appeared beside me and behind me and all I felt was defeat. My so called protectors and even my mates had just added to the hurt and the pain that I had been feeling since that day so long ago. As I had said a part of me just wanted to walk away, leave them where they where lying on the ground but I knew if I wanted a future free of pain then leaving would only prove them right. This would be my last stand, me giving them one last chance to make things right.

I still felt a little unsteady thanks to the power that was flowing through me since I had accepted my title as Queen and then sharing my pain with everyone. I decided to sit down a little ways away from them so I could get some breathing room. I leaned back against the mountain waiting for them to awake. Wondering if giving them one last chance was the right thing to do? Oh well it was to late to be thinking about mistakes or regrets, they would get their chance but they would have to learn to accept the monster before they would ever get the real me back.

"I am your queen and you will feel my pain!"

Was the last thing Damien heard before finally passing out.

Waking up all I could feel was pain, total pain. It was emotional, mental, and physical pain and it was coming all from my niece. I wanted to scream because it literally felt like I was dying and I knew instantly that it was coming from her. My body, my beast felt the need to prove to our new Queen that we could handle anything she dished out. But by the gods above if I lived through this torment I would make them all pay if anyone so much as thought of hurting her again.

Was all Luna heard before falling to the ground in severe agony. She prayed to the gods and goddess's above to be able to pass out like her father had but for some reason she stayed awake through it all. Even though she and her newly discovered mate Heyel were still in the house she had found him in she still had a connection to her father and could see and feel what he felt. So in some ways she was getting it twice as bad. She knew that as soon as Lizzy in her knew form left it would mean bad things for all, but she never suspected this.

She knew that Lizzy had been hiding her pain but by gods she never knew how much pain that woman was truly hiding. How could her cousin still be walking, much less be semi human. The emotional, mental, and physical pain she was feeling and yes she knew her cousin was feeding it to everyone, for even though her screams were loud due to the pain she could hear everyone else screams as well. In fact she could hear the entire world screaming and knew without a doubt it was thanks to Lizzy. No one truly knew her and most of us just accepted the face she put out there for all of us to see. But we forgot the most important lesson of all.

She was still so young, yet to have gone through this much pain and still survive every day was a miracle.

Was all I heard inside my mind as the young girl I had tormented and helped break screamed inside my mind. I crashed down to the ground screaming out the pain that my mind and body were going through. It felt unending and I knew that I had helped cause this.

For so long doing any means to get power, any power, for I was not picky. The gods must be loving this for this is their form of Karma coming to kick my ass. In less that two days I had found my mate which I didn't even think I would be graced with, and she knew what I had done. She said she accepted me, Heyel demon scum who had hurt her cousin, her family. But after this I could honestly say any chance with my mate would more than likely be gone.

Dylan, Shaun, Cali, and Alaric fell down in sync screaming with the raging fires. The literally felt like they were going to die.

Yet Alaric could finally see and he could only hope to begin to understand his mate. He had only known her a short amount of time but realized his mistakes to late. Where once she had been a forging mate who tried to understand him, his fear and insecurities ruled him and helped add to the pain his mate was feeling and unless there was a miracle he knew without a doubt that both Ethan and himself had just lost their mate. Possibly forever.

Somehow all of them went from the castle that Damien was at and appeared next to or behind Lizzy. She was their Queen. It was Ethan's and Alaric's job to be by her side. And by god being there hurt Lizzy's mates more than she could ever guess. In some ways she was truly still a child and only could see her pain. Oh yes she knew that her mates had their own pasts and due to said pasts each had their own pain to go through. But at least Lizzy was willing to accept their own past and was willing to help ease their pain. Ethan could feel that through the bond they were sharing.

And by god did it hurt, he had gone through so much pain and realistically knew that others had gone through worse but from the moment he had met Elizabeth all he could see was the outside. He had never bothered to listen or even try to get to know his mate the way he should have. Feeling her pain was ten times worse knowing he had cause just an ounce of it, and for once in his miserable life he was truly scared of losing the one thing that could bring him any joy. His mate.

Somehow someway Dylan, Shaun, Cali, and Tony appeared at the Palomar Mountain and locked hands to put a protective circle around their Queen and her mates. Each feeling the pain and the power going through them. They had no idea how the got there but they knew what their job was. To protect her until their last breath, and by god they had failed her so many times in the past each one having their own personal thoughts on the matter but they would not fail her again.

Alaric could feel her realizing that they were all there. That she looked at each and every person that showed up. Hoping against hope that this small act would be the right step into getting her forgiveness. Something inside him told him that if they left this mountain side still broken then they would lose the most precious thing in their world. Her love.
