I hurriedly finished eating the pancakes and took the first sip of hot coffee, burning my tongue in the process. I hissed.

Layla looked up from her phone.

"What's the hurry?"

I couldn't exactly tell her the reason why I was hurrying.

"Uh. Nothing."

I shrugged, trying to act nonchalant and unbothered.

She narrowed her eyes.

"You're lying."

I let out a fake laugh.

"No, I'm not. Why do you think I'm lying?"

I avoided her eyes.

"I'm your best friend. I know when you're lying."

She deadpanned. I smiled at her sheepishly.

"It's nothing really."

How do I tell you that Jimin and that girl are making me feel uncomfortable?

Since they had entered the cafe, the girl had been giggling at anything and everything Jimin uttered. I caught Jimin's eyes once or twice but I looked away. I was feeling weird today. I didn't know why.

"I'm letting this go just this time only."

"I swear it's nothing. I just don't feel well. That's it."

"Wanna go to my place?"

"Yes. Let's go."

After finishing our coffees quickly, we payed for the food. And I avoided looking at them. Whenever I looked at them, I felt anger rush through my veins. It was so weird.

As I was leaving the cafe, I turned around one last time.

Jimin was looking at me.
