The Power of God

EXODUS CHAPTER 10

Memory Verse

   And that you may tell in the hearing of your son and your son’s son the mighty things I have done in Egypt, and My signs which I have done among them, that you may know that I am the Lord .”
Exodus 10:2 NKJV

God's Word

   The people of Israel witnessed the Mighty Hands of God against Egypt. And the Lord wants them to share what He had done so that the next generation and the generation to come will know that He is God.

   Christians are witnesses of God's Mighty Power. The day that we received Christ as our Lord and Savior, we received the power of forgiveness. And as we continue in our Christian life, we received the power of changed. And because we trust the Lord continually we received the power of faith and mostly the power to make a change by sharing the Word of God.

The Power of Forgiveness

    Before, I was a kind of a fiery person. One day I was making an argument with one of my church mates because of the wrongdoings that he had done to one of my disciple which is a girl. And it is heart broken to me that my leader was not believing in me, and was in favor of that guy. Then it was proven that he did what's wrong, and God touches my heart to forgive him, and I forgive.
   Also other things that happen was when I was in my Auntie's house, she judges me of the things which I do not do, but the Lord speaks to me, "Ask for forgiveness.".
   "But Lord, You know that I didn't do anything wrong, then why should I ask for forgiveness?", I replied
    "Ask for forgiveness", the Lord insisted.
   And then I come to my Auntie and said, "Forgive me my Auntie".
   "Forgive me also, I am only too harsh of many problems." replied by my Auntie with a soft voice.
    I see that if we learn to forgive and ask for forgiveness then we shall see its power upon our lives and in the lives of other people.

   “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.  But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.”
Mark 11:25‭-‬26 NKJV

The Power of Change
   
   Unless you become a changed person, you will never experience the power to make a difference.
   One day, my high school friends came and took me in their van. Then we went in one of a resort in Cavite, not knowing that the reason why they brought me is because of the birthday celebration of one of our friends.
    And then when we are all at the table to start eating, they tempted me to drink alcoholic beverages, but I refused, and then they have requested me to fill their glasses with their beverage. And I stand before them, raising up my two hands and said to them, "Did you see these hands? If it is mine, I will do what you want me to do, but it is not mine already. I will surrender it to the Lord and will use it only for Him."
  Then, they never force me again to drink alcohol until now. And one of them became Christian too, and soon to be a Pastor.
   A changed life has a power to change someone.

   Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Matthew 5:16 NKJV

  Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he  is  a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
II Corinthians 5:17 NKJV

The Power of Faith

    Once you have already to power to forgive and be changed, then your faith will start to grow.

   One day, the Lord speaks to me to give my last money for an offering. That money was supposed to be my fare going home. Then I obey God and believe that He is the One who provides.
    Then after our worship service while I am walking with one of my church mates, I asked him, "Do you believe that we're going to ride in a jeep?"
   "Of course, I believe", he replied.
  Then, while we're walking, someone riding on a motorcycle poke me and said, "I will give you this money, 50 pesos", then I accept that money, and I feel something beneath my feet and I told my church mate to pick it up, and it is also a money, 100 pesos. And when we ride a jeep and give a fare to the driver, he made it back to me I didn't realize that the driver is one of my disciples. And I gave thanks to him. Especially to God who did amazing things in only one day, because of my obedience.

    But without faith it  is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

The Power of Sharing the Word of God

  Only the Word of God has a power to set free those who are captives of sin.
  Many lives had been touched by what I have shared with them in the Power of God's Word.
  It is very effective to share what God had been done in our lives, so that the people may believe and see how the Lord truly works and will give glory to Him.
  
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
Romans 1:16 NKJV

God's Character

   He is Powerful

God's Promises

   He will continually show His power to me

Life Application

  I will continually forgive and ask for forgiveness, I will continually accept my wrongs and be changed, I will continually believe by faith even I didn't see anything. And I will never stop to share the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
