Ellie, Colby and I all woke up at around the same time.

One in the afternoon. 

Hopefully Sam wasn't getting too bored with his folks. 

We all started to get ready, do all the normal morning routines, the usual.

After brushing my teeth, Colby comes in with hot drinks and bagels on some hotel plates.

"Hey, I got some quick breakfast for everyone," He smiles.

"Ooo, what type of drinks did you get, babe?" Ellie asks, taking one cup out of the cup holder.

"Hot chocolate," He replies, setting everything on the table and taking a bite out of the bagel.

"No coffee?" Ellie sadly asks.

"Well, I knew Ashlyn doesn't like coffee and the coffee line was way too long, so I got everyone hot chocolate," He simply responds.

God.

I turn around so it seems like I am not listening, but in fact I was indeed, and mildly blushing. 

I take a deep breath in and re-collect myself. 

Just smile, be grateful, Neil.

I walk out the bathroom and say, "Yo, thanks dude."

He nods a you're welcome.

We eat and watch Nickelodeon before rushing to the elevator and into the car.

Colby drives as Ellie sits passenger.

I'm basically third wheel whenever it's the three of us.

"So how was last night?" Ellie smiles, making small talk as we drive.

I see Colby quickly glance back to me in the car mirror.

I look at Ellie and cover, "Ah, boring. But ya should've seen Colby in the car and hotel parking lot."

"God, let's not talk about that," Colby face palms.

"No, please talk about it," Ellie laughs.

I tell her Colby's little scene and it was hilarious.

No, of course I didn't tell her about what we did and didn't do. 

We just "hung out". 

Colby pulls into the hospital parking lot.

"Hey is that Sam's parents talking to a police officer?" Ellie asks, pointing outside to the front of the hospital.

"Yeah... Why are they talking to a cop?" Colby wonders aloud. 

"No fucking idea..." I murmur, leaning closer between the two of them.

"Quickly park, let's see what the hell is up," Ellie commands.
