"NOVA WHO DID YOU SEE AT THE STORE?" My boyfriend asked me with stern eyes.
I didn't understand why he was bringing up my encounter from a week ago but I answered anyway, "Uh, her name was Penelope? I think" I shrugged
Fangs and Jughead looked at each other for a brief moment. "What did she look like?" Fangs asked
I sighed whilst rolling my eyes, "I don't remember" I said getting annoyed, "blonde or something"
"Peabody" Toni mumbled
"Who?" I asked looking at her
The serpents ignored me as we made our way down the bleachers to leave the game. It was basically over with just 30 minutes left, and we were winning.
"Can yall tell me why the fuck you're interrogating me for?" I asked as we walked to the parking lot
"Why is it a big deal who she saw?" Deandre asked backing me up
"Look if it's who we think it is then you guys need to be VERY careful" Jughead warned us, "especially you Nova"
I looked at him confused mixed with a stank face cause, what the fuck are you on about?
"He's right princess," Sweet Pea said grabbing my hand and pulling me towards him a little. He intertwined our fingers as he spoke, "She said she mostly goes by Penny right?"
I nodded still not getting why this was a big deal. "Who the fuck is Penny?" Leo asked
"Like the coin?" Kingsley asked right after. The two boys looked at each other before snickering a bit. "Dickheads" Dre shook his head
"She used to work with the serpent but she isn't someone you want to be in cahoots with" Jughead stated looking at me with serious eyes
The way they weren't explaining fully was making me anxious and irritated. "Yeah okay" I nodded. Before anyone could say more the sound of cheerleaders coming off the field interrupted us.
'Aren't they supposed to be on the field near the sidelines?' I thought to myself but just watched as Betty and Veronica walked off the field comforting Cheryl as she cried
"Are they supposed to be on the field?" Toni asked reading my mind
We watched as Cheryl, Betty, and Veronica walked to the bathroom while crying. "Why is she crying" Leon asked eating his nachos
"Wow, Leo I don't know!" I said sarcastically, "Maybe cause her brother is dead and this game was to honor him?"
He continued to eat before saying, "Oh" then went back to his food. "You ain't shit" Kingsley laughed loudly causing Leo to snicker a little. "What? I just asked a question" he shrugged
"Anyways, back to our conversation," Toni said trying to circle back to what we were talking about beforehand. "What were we talking about?" Hakeem asked who was on his phone the whole time
