Zhi Ruo's POV

I folded the jersey shirt and the 'dolphin short' I got earlier then put it back to the paper bag.

There's no use for this. I don't play track and field anymore and I think this is gonna be wasted if I just leave it my hidings.

"Ma, I'm dropping these off to Dylan's house." I informed them as I jog downstairs.

"Be careful honey." Pa stated.

"You sure love your daughter." I giggled. "Very very much."

Ma cringed. "Hey, the two of you stop this nonsense! You're just making me miss my favorite son."

I poke my tongue out.

Did I already mention? I have an older brother. He's currently in Shanghai, studying in a college university.

"He will be home soon." Pa said to Ma.

_______

I stopped at Mr. Pineapple head's door step. I did ring his doorbell few times now BUT there were no response.

He's apparently enjoying himself being with his girlfriend.

I bend down and started spacing out. I can't stop myself from looking back at what happened earlier.

It's just so sudden.

But

I don't even care.

A little bit maybe.

I think it's normal.

No—stupid.

I started loosing my patience. I dusted my short and took the bag with me. He's not gonna be here, it's way too early.

I got back inside my house to get some coins. I suddenly crave for a jelly so I think I'm gonna stop by at the corner store few meters away.

(TIME SKIP)

I skip steps while walking back home, I have my plastic bag full of jellies on right and the paper bag on my left.

To my surprise Dylan has just arrived, he's currently unlocking the gate.

I walked faster in order to reach out for him.

"Hey." I stopped beside him. He stared at me, "Oh?"

"What are you doing here outside? In this time?" He paused, "It's dangerous."

I scrunched my face. Since when did he care?

"Calm down. I just went to the corner store to buy this."

"What are those?"

"Jellies." I replied shortly.

He nodded then continue to unlock the gate.

"Eh. Wait, I also have to return this to you." I placed my jelly into my mouth then took the paper bag from my arm.

"What is this?" Dylan's eyebrows wiggles in confusion.

I gave him a 'dont be pretentious' look.

"Dylan, be honest at least for once. You gave them to me," I told him.

"Well I'm honest. Why would I give you something like this?" He looked at the paper bag again.

"These are not mine."

I widen my eyes in surprise then snatched the paper bag away from him.

Oh no.

"If these wasn't from you, then who gave me these?"

He shrug. "If you're here to show off what you got from who ever that be, then disappear from my sight."

"I'm not showing off though." I glared at him, "So rude." I added as I hug the paper bag with me.

I head in first. Dylan clenched his fist as he walked inside.

_____

I locked my room as soon as I got inside.

Whaaat.

I think I should hide myself—that was embarrassing enough.

I looked over to my window. I think I should jump out of my room— Oh shoot. This is the first floor.

Dylan Wang's POV

Who would gave her those though?

Not unless she already got herself an admirer.

Ugh. Never mind, I have my Ye Hua now and it's time to ignore her then. She's no longer my business to mind.
