"What's going on here?" Rose asked looking at Alison waiting for an explanation. Sensing how nervous she was getting, Embry couldn't help but feel the need to hold her hand as if to help calm her down. However, he settled for just glaring and growling at the blond for making Alison feel uncomfortable. "Shut up, mutt" Rose snapped.

"Don't talk to him like that" Alison growled moving into Rose's view blocking more of Embry. Rose looked at Alison in shock, there were moments where she stood up to Rose but never with that much confidence and strength. Rose didn't know whether to be proud of even more pissed off. "Can you give us some time?" Alison asked looking at Embry speaking in a softer tone. It was obvious the shifter didn't want to leave but Alison just gave him a pleading look he couldn't say no too.

"I'll make my round, I'll be back later" He told her and she nodded.

"Don't bother" Rose snapped. "She doesn't want to see a flea bitten-"

"Rose" Alison growled. "Do not speak for me and do not call him names" She growled. Embry couldn't help but to smirk smugly from behind Alison before shifting into his wolf form and running off.

"What has gotten into you, Alison?" Rose asked confused. "Who is he? Why are you talking to him? He's dangerous"

"We're all dangerous, Rose, wake up" Alison snapped. "And his name is Embry and I talk to him because he's my friend. I talk to him because he doesn't drown me in pity and sadness. I talk to him because when I'm around him I don't feel like I'm drowning, I don't feel helpless and I feel important. I feel wanted and I feel like a real person, not some social experiment or hospital patient"

"Alison" Rose said softly. "We don't mean to make you feel like that" Rose said. "But you have to understand, werewolves are dangerous, they're not good company"

"Well from what I can remember, which is the past couple of months mind you, he's been better company than the people who say they're my family" Alison said and Rose looked down taking her words to heart. "And I don't like it when you come up out of nowhere, when I told you I wanted to be alone, and talk to him like he's trash. Look, I know you all have this version of who I'm supposed to be, of how I'm supposed to act. I'm sorry to disappoint" She snapped no longer able to hold in her anger and frustrations.

"Alison-" But Alison was already gone without a trace. She had turned invisible running off in some direction. With her being invisible it would be impossible to track her, her scent disappeared with her appearance. She reappeared far away from the Cullen's house, still by the treaty line hoping that she had caught up with Embry.

"What happened?" Embry asked coming out of the woods.

"I snapped" Alison muttered but he heard her.

"Do you wanna go see a movie?" He asked and she looked up at him. "I know a place that isn't in either of our territories, a neutral place. We'll be safe there" He said and she smiled nodding.

"Yea, I'd like that" She said. He grinned before explaining how to get there. Once he was finished the two of them took off wanting to get there as fast as possible. Alison forgot about her fight with Rose as she thought about being so close to Embry, it was something she dreamed about for ever since she met him. It wasn't long until they were standing in front of each other, he had gotten a shirt along the way, unfortunately but she didn't mind... too much.

"Hi" He said walking closer to her. Being this close the both of the could smell their scents even better, it was different than anybody else. He didn't smell like the other wolves and she didn't smell like regular vampires, it was a tolerable smell, one that they would soon crave.

"Hi" She whispered looking at him but quickly averted her gaze downwards. She didn't know if she had ever felt this nervous before, she doubted it. With her gaze looking down, Embry took this chance to reach out and slowly take her hand. It was freezing cold but it didn't bother him that much, if anything it was soothing to his scolding hot body heat. It was as if it were some magic touch, suddenly neither one of them felt as nervous anymore. They felt comfortable around each other.

She looked back up and into his eyes as he took a small step forwards. She smiled loving being this close to him, she didn't want to be anywhere else in the world. He was taller than her but it was that bad, it was the perfect height for both of them. Alison made the next move to grab his other hand and before she could help herself she was laying her head on his shoulder. Instinctively, he leaned his head against hers wanting to be as close as he could.

She didn't understand why she felt like this around him and she didn't care, all she cared about was being like this. Embry knew why and he couldn't be happier. He was nervous when he imprinted on her, scared that she wouldn't want him because they were so different. He had heard stories about losing an imprint and it wasn't pretty, he didn't want to go through that. He easily made her comfortable to talk the first night they met, he listened to every word she said and he was right, it did make her feel better. It made her feel a lot better.
